The location is good and beautiful, but the access from Male Airport is pretty bad and hotel kept us wait at the airport for quite long.
They only have 2 flight in one day and they never tell us the exact time previously.
The facility is not bad though.

Das sind nicht mal 3 Sterne...waren mind. 5× auf den Malediven:hier keine gesicherte Sonnenlage trotz eigenem Strandabschnitt !! Trotz 5 monatig-vorheriger Anfrage von best. Bungalow-nummern in d Sonne-für 2 Wochen- ignoriert ! Erster Bungalow (131) im Norden: null Sonne, nur Schatten durch Gebüsch - neuer Bungi im Süden: dauerhafte Moskitoplage !!! Morgens u abends - Sonne hier wiederum wg Gebüsch max 4 Std ! Ausweichen gibt's nicht - entweder ins offen Meer oder an die 6 verfügbaren Liegen (!!!) am Pool... Essen: durchweg kalt/ keine Abwechslung/ mässige Qualität- es stimmt einfach nicht, wenn Leute behaupten, auf d Malediven sei d Essen schlecht...das gilt nur für die Villahotel-Gruppe ! Wir hatten davor bei ital. / schweiz / dtsen Betreibern annähernd Sterneküche!!!! Sehr schade, dass bei diesem Preisniveau die Leistungen echt schlecht sind. Stuff ausgenommen: hier bemüht dich jeder !! Aber scheint nun auf Ostblock-Niveau ausgerichtet zu sein ...schad ! Malediven ohne Sonnenliege ( in der Sonne!) Und zzgl Moskitobefall mit 1x wöchentlicher Desinfektion ( nat zwischen 16-18h, nicht wenn die Gäste schlafen!!) Dauerschatten in 70% der Bungalows plus schlechtem Kantinenessen ist KEINE REISE WERT ! !!!

Really beautiful and well-kept resort but the real added value is the staff, personally I would very much like to thank in order...Mini who took care of us with professionalism and sweetness, a true guardian angel, Surjith always careful to ensure that our every meal was a fantastic moment and Parves who in addition to cleaning our villa impeccably is an authentic artist decorating the bed like a painter would with his canvas... thank you very much to you guys!!!

My girlfriend and I spent an entire week at Royal Island Resort, and it was the ultimate escape from our busy city lives. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The resort is a true paradise, with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a stunning pool. We spent our days relaxing in these beautiful surroundings and indulging in delicious food. The meals were varied and fantastic, with everything from fresh seafood to flavorful local dishes—each meal was a highlight. One of the most memorable experiences was snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs. We swam with beautiful fish and even got to see small sharks, which was an unforgettable experience! Our host, Minny, was exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed, and the rest of the resort staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. This was the perfect way to unwind and relax, and we’re already planning our return. If you’re looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive paradise with amazing snorkeling, Royal Island Resort is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This was my first time in the Maldives and not the last time after spending 9 nights at the fabulous Royal Resort on BAA Atoll. All the facilities are well maintained including the grounds landscaping, the full meal plan is an excellent value and all employees really go out of their way to make all guests genuinely welcome and comfortable. Roji War eine super Hilfe für uns und rund um die Uhr erreichbar. Sie hat uns sogar eine Überraschung zu unseren Flitterwochen gemacht. Unsere Unterkunft war spitze, das Essen mega und was für uns wichtig war - alles Helal! Wir freuen uns irgendwann erneut dorthin reisen zu können.
