Fab place to stay
Friendly staff, great food, beautiful location. The room was fantastic, huge bed, great shower, really great staff working there. Wednesday night free quiz is great fun too!!

Very good accommodation! Clean comfortable and staff welcoming. The person on breakfast was fantastic, so he was accommoding and friendly and happy! He made the effort to make your day start with a smile. The evening meal was ok , but nothing to praise about!

4 guys, in our 60s, enjoying a couple of days away for some beers, good walks and enjoyable food and rooms. We were not disappointed with the Hope and Anchor. Great staff, 4 very well appointed rooms, wholesome food and our rate included a wide breakfast selection. Everything was as we hoped and thank you!

Booked an overnight stay as Hope Cove and the surrounding area is one of our favourite places - especially out of season. We had eaten and drunk at the Hope and Anchor over the years but never stayed. It's right on the coast path which is perfect - we saw a Peregrine Falcon on our second day! We had a "Coastal" room overlooking the beach (and we could hear the sea). The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast - couldn't fault either. Thanks also for switching on the sunset for us too! We were only away for a night but felt like we'd had a proper break - the sign of a great stay. Thank you.

Amazing location with quaint rooms , great sea views, where you can lie in bed and listen to the waves hitting the beach. (It’s that close) Staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely touch was a bottle of Prosecco in the room as I was celebrating my birthday. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Great location for walking the south west coast path. Service was excellent with very helpful and courteous staff. Large public car park next door, which only cost £6 for 24 hour parking (in March, out of season) and had plenty of space. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent, although I was hoping for some local fish on the menu rather than just standard fish and chips.

The Hope and Anchor was very welcoming and lovely and warm when we stayed in February. Really impressed with our premier room on the first floor which was huge , with a leather sofa, table and chairs as well as a kingsize plus bed and a beautiful shower room. So much room for two of us and a window seat where we could sit and watch the sea. Couldnt fault it. The village is beautiful and surprisingly there were two other restaurants open if you fancy a change from the pub food served at the inn. Breakfast was fine and served with views of the beach. Free parking was right outside as it was winter. The staff were lovely and friendly from the time we arrived. All in all this was a great find.
