Shaikta gave us the warmest welcome, showed us to our room, explained everything clearly, and even booked us a table at the restaurant. The cottage’s history in the room information was a lovely read and added charm to our stay. Dinner was outstanding, made with fresh, local ingredients, and breakfast the next morning was one of the best we’ve ever had—thank you, Laura! The service, food, and overall experience were exceptional. We would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back. A perfect getaway for walkers or those needing rest."

"Lovely old pub, log fires, friendly staff, fab music, great ale, and a fantastic Steak and Ale pie! Possibly the best pie I’ve ever had, full of steak, and the pastry was spot on. The barman recommended me Hendersons Relish with my meal - hadn’t heard of it before - great choice though! Chips were good too - Will definitely be back."
