A great place to stay, the rooms are well equipped and very modern, a pleasure to stay in. The restaurant serves lovely food that is well presented and cooked well. All the staff at this place are all very helpful and friendly. My wife and I will certainly be coming back.

The Buck was a perfect base for exploring nearby Norwich (about 10 mins to Park and Ride). The room was large and clean with good facilities and on the ground floor for good accessibility. The room opened out into a private patio with chairs and table and a garden beyond. It had strong, powerful air conditioning which in the hot weather was a great benefit. The breakfast consisted of cereals, juices and cooked breakfast (which was delicious). All locally sourced and served in the pub itself. This is a short walk from the room. Staff were warm and friendly.

We are a family of 4 and stayed in a family room with garden view for one night. I assumed the children would share the sofa bed but a put up bed was also in the room. This was a nice touch and my children (7 and 9) appreciated having a bed each. The room was spacious, had quality matching furniture and a big bed. We did find a few dead and dying flies on the floor and the skirting board was dusty so perhaps the room had not been used for a while. The bin in the bedroom had not been emptied from the previous guest but from what I could see nothing nasty was in there! There was an outside patio area and table but we didn’t use these. The outside space is quite exposed and those in the beer garden are close by. Perhaps having some planters on the fence or tubs on the ground would give it more of a garden feel as it is just grass and a fence at the moment. The wet room was a good size but there was mould in the shower and on the walls, perhaps some fresh sealant and another coat of bathroom paint could be used. The biggest issue we had was the internal green emergency/alarm light. It was so bright, it illuminated the room far too much. We all struggled to get to sleep. I’m not exaggerating, it really is incredibly bright. Perhaps the owners could go into the room and shut the curtains at night and see for themselves how bright it is. I’ve never stayed anywhere with an emergency/alarm light that bright. The pillows were comfortable and the duvets were the right thickness for the time of year. We had dinner and the children’s portions were big, my husband had whitebait and satay chicken which were small portions. I had the cauliflower which was full of flavour and a good size. Breakfast was good, my daughter and I have intolerances and the lady offered us gluten free bread. A vegan option on the main menu and breakfast menu would have been good. All the staff we encountered were friendly.

A great find. We were recommend there by a friend. Spent 4 nights. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant every night and were very happy with the quality of the food. Breakfast was excellent and ample. Plenty to choose from. The staff could not have been better. No complaints at all.

Perfect pub for an overnight stay. Accommodation was just right, very warm with a good size bathroom. The evening meal was fantastic (make sure you book as not surprisingly it was very popular). And breakfast was good. Look forward to staying again next year for our annual trip.

Absolute gem! Lovely quiet location, no busy roads. Faultless in every way. Beautiful individual rooms, with high standard of decor and furniture and so immaculately clean throughout. Very comfortable bed, plus a wonderful breakfast, equals an absolutely outstanding stay. Staff extremely friendly, and nothing too much trouble. Large car park. Will definitely return.

It was much nicer here than I had expected and the landlady was very friendly and welcoming. The room that we had was nice and the bed was comfortable, but the shower that we had didn’t work properly, and the bulb had gone in the shaving light above the bathroom sink. Foodwise, we had a nice meal in the evening in the restaurant and found the waitress was friendly and efficient and the food was very well presented. The following morning, we had breakfast, with both of us having a full English breakfast (no egg for me though) which again was tasty. I could not fault the place either for location which was pretty or for the room (apart from the shower/light), food or service that we experienced. If we are ever back in the area, we would stay here again.

Fantastic food but spoiled but the ridiculously fast service. I didn’t want a McDonalds, I wanted a leisurely, lovely meal out with my husband. I couldn’t enjoy my main meal because it was all so rushed and I had only just finished the starter. The waitress was very good and took the wine off the bill because we didn’t actually get a chance to drink it. She told us that a lot of people complain about the fast service and sometimes she comes out with the next course when people are still finishing their starter and has to take it back to the kitchen. Come on Honingham Buck, please read this review and sloooow down, so we can come again.

We stayed here for two nights as completing a charity walk over the weekend. The young staff were really friendly and helpful in the bar and restaurant however I assume the owner wasn’t the most friendly person in fact was quite standoffish. The room was ok not worth the money the shower didn’t work but nothing was mentioned or apologised by owner thankfully it had a nice bath but not good enough. We were out early on the Saturday so couldn’t make breakfast however after a long day walking we returned to room with no room service the bed was still unmade towels not changed tea not replenished etc it was rectified by the staff but not the standard I would expect. Good in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was good
