Golden Island Hotel

my room was full of bugs and insects and dirty as I ve never seen before in my life. I have taken many pictures cause I ve felt disgusted and I will leave a bad review. Stay away from this hotel pls. 0/10

To start with this is not a hotel only the name. Look at the dangling wires, there’s construction going on and everything is messy. When you get there you’ll see this very old building from world war 2 I think. They just rented this place on the 7th floor and oh boi! Even the lifts are very old looks like it’s going to break anytime. The hotel room is stinky and toilet is so small and dirty. There are stains on the wall we immediately talked to the staff that we’re cancelling our booking as this place is very miserable. Unfortunately they did not refund after I told them that this place is not fit for human to stay. They told me to talk to Trip.Com instead but they still refused to refund. Me and my mom immediately phoned Silka hotel if they have available room and they told us we can book right away for the last room through this website. Lucky enough we didn’t stay in this disgusting place. This is a junk shop! Book at your own risk! I never never never book this junk shop ever again! Waste of time to travel there from Macau. This is the worst accommodation I have seen in my entire life my God I travelled to so many countries both in Asia and Europe. Don’t trust the pics from this hotel or else you’ll regret it! It’s not worth the price they advertise, so many better hotels at this price in Hong Kong.

They changed towels everyday. ❤️❤️❤️ Location is 7mins away from train station while bus are approx 3-7 mins depends on the bus number. Room is small for 2 pax, but anyway this place was the cheapiest room we check. Staff are all nice. Thank you!

Staying at Golden Island Hotel was definitely worth it. The location is super convenient—Jordan Station is just a short walk away, and Temple Street is nearby too. There are plenty of affordable food spots around, plus some fast food places if you’re craving something familiar. The elevator is a bit small, but it’s not a big deal because the room was really clean. The staff were so nice, especially Miss Miki and the older man who helped us out. They don’t speak a lot of English, but they really made an effort to understand and assist us, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a simple but great stay.

This hotel boasts a convenient location in Hong Kong. However, the rooms are notably small, which might be expected given the city and price point. While adequate for a single night's sleep, the cramped quarters, malfunctioning air conditioning, and elevator issues make it a place I wouldn't choose for a longer stay. Additionally, it's worth noting that the same building houses ************ on a different floor. I recommend seeking alternative accommodations if possible.
