I looked at many hotels in Hong Kong, and knowing that rooms tend to be small, I chose this one as it seemed a bit more spacious. Overall, it was decent. The bathroom was a tad small but very clean, which was better than expected. However, if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, it can be quite a hassle. The hotel is situated on a steep hillside, meaning you'll have to climb quite a few stairs. While it's not far from Central, it's definitely not recommended for those with mobility issues or heavy bags. For Hong Kong, where space is truly at a premium, this hotel is quite good.

Affordable, comfortable accommodations right next to the botanical garden which is gorgeous! Rooms are quite spacious for Hong Kong. There’s also a decent pool as well as a gym. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This is my second time staying here and I still love it. I like how convenient the location is and that it has a bathtub. I will always choose this place to stay whenever I am in Hong Kong.

Spacious, fresh, and thoughtfully designed, the room truly elevated our stay and made us feel pampered from the get-go. 🌆 The location is ideal for both relaxation and adventure. Nestled near greenery yet within reach of city highlights, it gave us the best of both worlds. We even hiked to Victoria Peak for sunrise, which was an unforgettable experience—breathtaking views and a peaceful morning walk that made the trip extra special. 😊 The staff deserve a special shoutout. Every encounter was met with genuine kindness and helpfulness—they went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. 🏋️♂️ If I had to pinpoint one downside, it would be the gym. It’s functional, but definitely showing its age and could use a refresh to match the elegance of the rest of the property. Overall, Garden View offers comfort, kindness, and a location that lets you explore the beauty of Hong Kong with ease. Would happily return!

I’ve been to better hotels in Hong Kong so I wouldn’t give it a higher rate.

You have to take taxi to nearest train station. Good if you want to go for a walk. Hotel is clean, can see nice view. I went to a few restaurants for meal and IFC mall too. If you reach the train station, very convenient

Amazing Central views from the upper floors. A very good location near the botanical garden. White parrots flying outside! Peak Tram stop is in 300 meters.

We booked at the last minute during peak season, therefore we had to pay three times the original hotel rate. However, for the price we paid, it did not match our expectations. We had a room with no view, which was too small for four large suitcases, and the only amenities were a toothbrush. We would remark that staff members did not go above and beyond as we had in other hotels. The personnel was just basic. The location is neither here or there. We needed to walk up and down the hill to reach the central area. We believe this hotel is good if you are not picky.

Worst hotel I never stayed at. Unable to cancel the reservation when our plans changed. Unable to get a refund. Waste of money. Will never book again for any reason.

Nice location in HongKong Island. 17 mins walking down to central subway station, 20 mins hiking 😀 you are in Hong Kong, it’s okay.

Very spacious room, service is excellent.  Location is good for people who enjoy nature and walks.  Quiet neighborhood is a plus

Because some rooms in the hotel are under renovation there were some rooms being affected by the noise

It was a pleasant surprise to find out that the location is actually reasonable to do on foot down to Admiralty or across to the escalator going down to central. Bus also stops right next to the hotel to take you up from Admiralty. Will be back there for sure.
