GGuest UserThe location is excellent, very close to the JR station and Jinya. It snowed heavily, and the door was full of snow, so you can have a snowball fight at any time. It is suitable for family stays, and the room is large.
GGuest UserThis was the second time I used it, but not only the convenient location, but also the easy-to-use kitchen and dining room, the large and clean bedroom, the large screen TV that everyone can watch, etc. I was very convenient and comfortable as well as the first time.
However, there are some tourists who walk around the house due to the location, and I thought it would be safe if there was another key to the entrance door from the inside from the point of crime prevention.
I don't know if this is possible in space, but I'm even more happy with the sofa that I can spend a relaxing time.
SslothVery cozy stay, few private onsens to choose from included in the room price, there was no need to queue as it was empty at most times. The staff were also very friendly. The hotel does not have a restaurant but they gave a few restaurant suggestions at nearby places. Very comfortable stay overall!
DDemi.9.2Place is exceptional. Cleanliness, showers, toilets all available and really great quality.
Only down side was the distance if the weather was bad. I can't blame them as weather is uncontrollable, but it's pretty tough to be dragging heavy luggages over to and fro in the rain or snow. Else if it was slightly nearer to the food areas, it would have been spectacular, else it's perfect!
GGuest UserThe whole facility is very clean. The bedroom is traditional Japanese style tatami and we love the quilt comforter. It's so soft, thick and fluffy! This is the best comforter we have used in Japan so far! Really keeps us warm through the night! There's a small entrance gate and door to our room, which is so unique. The traditional breakfast served was superb too!
AAnonymous UserI really like it here. It’s lovely, clean, and peaceful. The owner takes great care and is very attentive. I didn’t expect them to care about little details, like providing a hot water bag to keep warm under the blanket at night. They can communicate in English and offer tea and morning coffee for guests.
GGuest UserAccommodation run by an old couple - very authentic experience! Accommodation is rather remote to touristic places, but along the bus line Hirayu Onsen to Shinotaka Ropeway. Easy to reach with the bus.
CChristian ItalyGood value hostel in the centre of Takayama, only 5 minutes walking from the train station and Nohi bus stop. Even though there is no staff at the hostel, we met them at the reception at the main hotel nearby and we were explained everything in detail.
The hostel is spotless and has all spaces well organized. The showers at the first floor are completely new and are well equipped with so many toiletries available, even safety boxes and skin creams! The kitchen is well equipped too even though we only used the microwave. Our twin room was comfortable, we had clean sheets and towels, heating and hangers. The only downside I can think of are the thin walls, you can hear other guests downstairs too.
