Fairfield Inn & Suites Roanoke Hollins/I-81

Traveled to Roanoke with a friend so that we could spend a few days here and drive the scenic BRMP. She was a Hilton gal, and I am a Marriott gal, eventually we settled on this Fairfield by Marriott and it was the best decision!!! Not all Marriott are created equal, not gonna lie every once in a while I do land in a poor one but we hit the jackpot here. Checking in was a breeze and Donna & Tara were lovely and personable even sharing with us some restaurant recommendations that I asked for. Now let us talk about breakfast, Jackie was a wizard in the kitchen!!! The breakfast and coffee area were spotless and well stocked. I've got Celaic so don't really pay that much attention to all the offerings but there were individually wrapped Udis bagels and fruit and yogurt. But the best surprise of them all and one I've never seen at breakfast before was the warm fried apples. Oh my gosh such a special treat; so thank you Jackie for making my day start off extra right! My room was clean, and my bed comfortable. The only thing was the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty but I brought that with me in my personal health and beauty bag so that's not really a complaint. Fantastic staff that could not have been any more warm and welcoming, and I would go out of my way to come back and visit this hotel. Thank you for making my stay such a pleasant one!

We found this Fairfield very suitable for our needs. We were traveling I-81 headed home and needed to stop in Roanoke for the night. It was very close to the interstate and easy to find. There are a number of hotels in this area and nearby further off the interstate. So you have many choices. We found this hotel was comfortable and clean, well stocked with towels, and had a suitable breakfast the morning of departure. The front desk check-in was very prompt and efficient. If in the area again, I would certainly consider staying here again. If you have a room on the front of the hotel, you have a mountain view!

The food options were healthy and satisfying. Exactly what I eat at home and the bed was even more comfortable than my own.

We came to Roanoke for the USA Cycling Mountain bike championships . The Fairfield was convenient to the venue(Hollins University). Restaurants were nearby and also there were more a short drive away. The hotel was clean and quiet and offered a variety of breakfast choices each morning.

Typical Fairfield Inn - clean rooms, breakfast a little sparse but passable. I would stay again if in the area. Convenient for highway. Local restaurant - Hollywood Bakery and Diner was excellent- family run business with good food and service.

I spent a Friday night here in early May. The room was very clean and comfortable. There were delicious chocolate chip cookies on arrival, always nice treat! The complimentary breakfast was delicious! So many options: eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal with many choices of toppings. Great coffee with all the options of creams and sugars. There was a staff member named LaChisya, who was taking such good care of the breakfast area. She was very kind and helpful! I really wanted to give a shout out to this treasure of an employee!
