This was our first seven night stay on the West Coast although we’ve done many restaurants & activities there over those years. . We have been travelling across since 1988 & spent all our time on the excellent South Coast including getting married nearly twenty years ago. We were not disappointed! We stayed in a room at the rear overlooking the pools which was perfectly adequate for our needs. The room was well maintained, cleaned regularly & had good AC. Many people come to Barbados expecting the star rating to be comparable to those of European type RIU Hotels but for myself I have never experienced this. It is what it is! As long as it’s clean, has good healthy running water, a comfortable bed & ample storage I will always be content. The bathroom was more than adequate & yes, the first night was greeted with a street party at the rear but I was more concerned over the singing standard than the sound. It’s Barbados. It’s a holiday & it’s Al fresco with people enjoying the warmth, hospitality & drinks so it pleases me in every sense. We even engaged One Love ourselves & were made very welcome. The bar is centralised, functional & very well staffed. At no time were we ‘deliberately’ kept waiting. There are busy periods but that is the same anywhere. From reception to bar to beach we were met with friendliness & a warmth of that of the island. Nothing was too much trouble. There are obvious names but I’m going to steer clear here as it’s unfair on those who sit in the background but are equal of respect. The breakfast wasn’t always on time but hey, that’s the Caribbean for you but it was well catered. We engaged with snacks & BBQ at lunchtime but the choice was adequate & enjoyable. Beach service was constant & a delight. Seeing people smile is infectious & there was plenty of that. The Hotel evening meals were also fine although we ventured out to eat in the evenings as well in Limegrove at the excellent House of Jaipur & Calma, next door which I am given to believe is owned by Mango Bay. In fact the stretch of beach was delightful & holds other spots to visit which is great. Beach time was never a problem. A full house on an Easter break didn’t stop us obtaining sun loungers & the staff were accommodating with the over cushions. There are many tours and things the hotel put on as part of the deal. We didn’t engage in many as we’ve covered most over the years but did enjoy the historical tour of about two hours on the Friday. Would recommend that to anyone visiting. As age is taking its toll the need to gorge on AI has diminished but the thing I loved more than anything was the fact there was no wristband, no one taking your room number for stats on drinks & no desire to slow the process. It’s simply excellent. Now that we have found our West Coast legs and the beautiful surroundings we will surely return. Hopefully again this year. I’d also add that so many people focus on negatives these days. You will find those everywhere but

What an amazing experience. An upgrade of rooms upon arrival. Food was outstanding. Staff made every single person feel special. Enough sunbeds, cocktails, and sunshine!! Honestly can’t complain about a thing. We used the free catamaran trip & kayaking. Beds were super comfortable….despite a new hotel being built next door; you don’t notice it. Beach was lovely, sandy and a great atmosphere. Perfect location. We hired a car from Roetts and service was 100%. Staff helpful giving advise about the island, transport etc. special mention to Damian, Rayden, shema, Dionell, Nik, Faith & Tionne. However all staff are professional and give more than 100%.

This all inclusive hotel 4* was perfect for all our needs. Our room was facing the sea and views were spectacular. The location was ideal, the size of the hotel just right and the people were all so friendly. My daughter and I had the best time here in our 2 week stay in Barbados. Endless rum punch, the best beach and water sports options as well as excursions and entertainment including dining all added to the pleasure of our holiday. We want to say a huge “thank you” to everyone at Mango Bay and in the words of Damian (bar staff extraordinaire) “I’ll be back!”

We arrived at Mango bay for our honeymoon to be greeted by the most rudest receptionist I have every met. She was abrupt , miserable and obviously took an instant dislike to guests. We were shown or room ,408 and we asked straight away to be moved. We overlooked a nightclub and car park and for the money we paid we had hoped for better. The same receptionist told us that people had paid for better rooms, we offered to pay and she told us there were none available. So we thought we would sleep on it and try again tomorrow. Then about 10pm the One Love bar started at the back of us…3am it stopped. Now don’t get me wrong, we love live music but it’s not what you expect to be hearing when trying to sleep . We had read reviews about it but had no idea how bad it would be. It’s mainly just a Sunday night karaoke but Saturday was pretty loud too. Again we spoke to staff and asked to be moved , said they soul get back to us but never did….we did ask again and again but never got anywhere. Speaking to other guests we found out that several had been moved at no expense to them. We were so upset as it was our honeymoon. We felt the staff just didn’t listen to us and weren’t interested. Other nights of the week the nightclub , Jeremy’s , opens and was pretty loud too. Then of course there is the building of a new hotel right next door…. The noise wasn’t too disruptive but the flood lights shone straight in till about 9pm. Luckily we were out so it didn’t affect us . We never had a problem with sunbeds they were always available both by the pool and at the beach. The beach is beautiful and a great place to snorkel. Have to give special mention to Damien , Brittney and Rayden who work incredibly hard and are such lovely people. Some of the waitresses could be a bit miserable, but Donelle and Grafton are fantastic. Barbados is a fantastic island and we loved it but we would never return to Mango Bay and got the impression that they wouldn’t want us to . Lastly, on the day we left we sat in reception and waited for our airport pick up for about 20 minutes . Again the same receptionist was on duty she didn’t even look up. She didn’t acknowledge us. She didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our stay. She didn’t say goodbye. She just said nothing… to us this is just so rude and not with you expect from a hotel

My third time to Barbados, but my kids third so wanted to choose the right hotel for them to get maximum enjoyment and MB didn't disappoint. We stayed for 10 days and from minute one, we felt at home. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, so friendly and helpful, especially Faith and Donell, who got on brilliantly with my boys. Rooms were generous, bathroom was a nice size and all clean. Only one restaurant but don't let that put you off, the food was very nice, with multiple choice available every day. A lovely small hotel, so doesn't feel overcrowded and even though there is a new hotel being built next door, this doesn't really affect the ambience during the day (although they do start work early!). Free watersports is a plus, and the beach and sea is excellent, as you would expect from the west coast. I will be visiting again.

I had a fairly low opinion of all inclusive holidays but Mango any has changed all that for me. The food drinks and service were outstanding and as good as I’ve had anywhere on the island at 5 star resorts Shinaya the chef is amazing

Just home from a wonderful 12 day stay in Mango Bay. Our first stay in Barbados and what a way to do it. Lovely friendly hotel. The room we were given was nice and spacious for my wife, I and our daughter. The beach is gorgeous, we visited a few different ones around the island and thought we were definitely spoilt with the location of the Hotel. Beautiful sandy beach, clear calm waters. Plenty of food options in the restaurant which was regularly al le carte for lunch and dinner, which we liked. Made meal times feel more of an occasion. Food was always varied of a good quality and well cooked. Easy bar food was available too for those who wanted to stay by the pool. The bar too was well stocked with named brands with a good cocktail list that the bar staff would happily pour liberally to order. We visited with our daughter and from the moment we arrived the staff were incredible with her, made her feel like a celebrity. Whilst all staff were fab particularly loved Shemar, Damien, Rayden and Ronald around the bar and Donnel, Sabrina and Cly-ann in the restaurant. Celebrated my birthday during our stay and again all staff on the day went the extra mile to make it special. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
