My husband and I are spending our 16th anniversary at the Westin. The customer service has been great but the standout is Miss Amarie at the Omelette station at The Carolina Room! She made (and taught me how to make) THE most delicious omelette I have ever tasted! Make sure you check her out. She's the best!!

Staying here currently and customer service needs work. Don't get me wrong... it's a nice enough hotel with a great location, but don't expect customer service to be friendly or do much for you if you encounter any issues. We booked in a King room Island View that wasn't disclosed as an adjoining room in booking and politely asked the front desk if we could be moved to a non-adjoining King room. The front desk acted as if there weren't any such King rooms available and that they would have to switch us to a Queen Room instead. I reluctantly agreed, but changed my mind when we went into the Queen room and it was apparent that it hadn't been cleaned. Dead roaches on the floor. Weird stains on walls and hair still clinging to shower walls. I showed the front desk and they were unconcerned by my telling them with photos. Not a great or resort quality experience so far unfortunately, especially when it comes to how the front desk treats guests.

Amazing amazing experience from start to finish! My husband and I stayed at the resort for a full week and badly needed R&R! We ate at the hotel every day at the Carolina Room, View 32 and Splash. Our servers couldn’t have been nicer-Randy, Duke, Danique, Sydney, Theresa, Jimmy and Willie. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was soooo relaxing. The spa and gym were terrific. We loved our time by the ocean and the pool. And housekeeping was top notch and left our room so nice and clean every day. Loved the team at Ingredients for my daily Starbucks. We highly recommend for a very relaxing vacation!

Meh at best. This place is overrated and quite expensive for what you get. If you’re hungry after 10:30 you can forget it. No food options not even a vending area. We asked the front person about a vending area and she stated that “the Westin thinks it’s tacky to have a vending/café area. This I found to be funny considering how often my husband and I frequent the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City, VA, where there is a vending area after hours. At any rate, we checked into the room and there were no wash cloths, no ironing board or iron. Additionally I requested an ocean view room only to receive a corner room with an obstructed view. For a $1000 for a weekend this resort has below average service and does not provide a bang for the buck.

Nice but not worth the price. PROS: The resort has restaurants and other amenities that allow you to stay on property. The beds were comfortable and the grounds were well-maintained. CONS: It’s an older property. The shower never drained even after we notified the front desk, the air vent was dirty, the walls were thin and we weren’t given parking instructions upon arrival.

Great clean resort with very friendly staff. The rooms were cute and very well kept. Some of the comfiest beds I have experienced in a hotel. Room was clean each day we returned. The pool and beach was also very nice and we really enjoyed our time!

Location is fabulous. It was very cold this past weekend so we couldn’t use the pool/beach. Our room needed updates…peeling ceiling, paint scratched up. Our room wasn’t cleaned one day because we were down at breakfast. We came back around 4. I called service who said we had a do not disturb sign on when they came by. They didn’t offer us towels or anything. We never had bathrobes in room. Had to request them. I told front desk about peeling paint etc. They didn’t say anything. Will try another hotel next time.
