Food was lovely , clean well kept rooms not so great on checkout when the receptionist did not recognise trip . Com and advised we hadn’t paid despite us showing her confirmation of pre payment

Ive been before and as the food was really good I took my cousin Colin and his friend Pam as they were visiting. We all had different dishes and all three were very tasty ,cooked to perfection. We will ne back .

We got married at 61 Durham, I cannot thank all the staff enough for going above and beyond to make our day run smoothly and perfectly as it did. The food was outstanding from breakfast, canapés, 3 course wedding breakfast and BBQ. We stayed in the Sanctuary suite which was stunning with very comfortable beds. Our guest had an amazing day, the wedding blues haven’t kicked in just yet. Thank you all so much for the best day of our lives!

Andrew and myself would like to thank all the staff at 61 Durham for the most amazing weekend. Our wedding was perfect from start to finish. Huge shout out to Rachel, our wedding coordinator and Mandy for her endless supply of cocktails. Can't fault a thing. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and how they all had the most amazing time. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you so much.😍xxx

Hotel magnifico immerso nella campagna inglese location ideale per matrimoni Camera grande e spaziosa, letto matrimoniale comodo con doppi cuscini e salottino con poltrona e armadio a vista Bollitore, ma non presente il mini bar Bagno molto pulito con doccia enorme, di grande eleganza La colazione viene servita in uno spazio arioso che affaccia su un giardino stupefacente. Menù ricchissimo con Professionale servizio al tavolo . Rapporto qualità prezzo a dir poco eccezionale da consigliare sicuramente

Couldnt fault the staff, all pleasant. Nice little pub attached. The building is beautiful but needs some love and attention. Dirty stair carpet, cobwebs. Room was small and very warm. Asked for a bottle of wine when we got back from town, no merlot so asked for malbec, the bar man had to go and get it and it took forever to arrive, we were ready to go to bed by then. Breakfast, the worst ever! And I've been in agony lot of hotels. It was 9:15, no croissants as they were still cooking so not ready to eat. I asked for poached eggs with salmon but apparently the fish man hadnt arrived yet!! Left the breakfast very poor, my husband had full english which was burnt but luke warm. He left his to. Cups and saucers were dirty and stained as were the glasses for juice. The fruit salad looked miserable with flies around it. It took 40 minutes for breakfast to arrive. It was like faulty towers. We won't be back which is a shame!

Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment. Turned out it’s been 18 months since we were here and it’s now changed name but has the same warm welcome and good food. Two courses £25. We had smoked a salmon and pork Bon Bon staters both generous portions and my pork was particularly nice. Then traditional beef roast dinner, again generous portions and the Beef was exceptionally nice tender melt in the mouth and lots of it. Also good Yorkshire pud always a sign of a good chef. Highly recommend it.
