"This hidden onsen (hot spring) nestled in Daisetsuzan National Park is a true gem. The hot spring water flows directly from the source, untouched by added water or heating, making the quality exceptional. You can enjoy both the main building's 'Yukoma-no-Yu' and the annex's 'Kamigami-no-Yu,' with a full range of indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath offers direct views of Mount Asahi-dake, making a snow-viewing soak incredibly therapeutic. The water has a slight sulfurous quality, leaving your skin wonderfully smooth afterward. It's rarely crowded, so you often have the baths all to yourself. The guest rooms are primarily Japanese-style (washitsu), spacious and clean, with comfortable tatami mats. Some rooms feature scenic windows with excellent views. I highly recommend choosing a plan that includes both breakfast and dinner: the 'Yushokuzen' kaiseki dinner is exquisite, prepared with fresh ingredients, and the Japanese-style breakfast is bountiful. The service is attentive, and it's very family-friendly, with private onsen baths available for reservation. The only downsides are its slightly remote location, requiring a car or shuttle, and limited public transportation. Overall, it's my top recommendation for a true onsen experience in the Asahidake Onsen area, perfect for hot spring enthusiasts, nature retreats, and post-ski relaxation."

"Accommodation right below Asaitake Ropeway 4/30 Daisetsuzan is still winter. I was so jealous of people snowboarding on the natural snow Dinner was great, and breakfast was even goooood The hot spring is a little small, but it's perfect for relieving fatigue."

"A wonderful hotel and better than expected. Quiet location. Our room was lovely - I booked an economy room, but the one we were given seemed much nicer than that. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. A lot of food and a great opportunity to try different things, including horse sashimi. The hotel lounge was great for relaxing in with included drinks and snacks. All in all it felt quite luxurious, and I really liked the nightwear."
