Tru by Hilton Hershey Chocolate Avenue

Relly clean and nice hotel right next to Hershey Park. Diamond member with Hilton and booked using points and had to extend stay which required a second reservation. Arrived in town early and called ahead and talked to one of the nicest ladies I have dealt with in all my years of traveling, Linda. She was able to get us into our room early and was very helpful in making sure that we did not have to move rooms with the 2 different reservations we had. Was delightful to talk to, great attitude, engaging with the family and truly is a fantastic employee and representative for the Hilton brand. Thank you, Linda, for helping make our family trip less stressful. As for the hotel it has a standard gym to exercise, and standard hot and cold breakfast but it was plentiful and fulfilling to get you going for the day. Close to Chocolate Ave and all the restaurants and stores. Plenty of parking, friendly staff throughout and the room was suitable and comfortable for our family. Because of Linda and her exceptional customer service I will certainly consider for future travel whether personal or business.

I almost gave the hotel 4 stars because of a housekeeping issue (more below), but overall the hotel is great and the front desk staff very attentive. The housekeeping issue was likely an oversight, so the hotel deserves all 5 stars. The hotel was very nice and the front desk staff was kind and helpful. A very good breakfast was offered each morning. Nothing fancy, but solid staples and frequently restocked. The pancake machine was a big hit. Breakfast was very busy Friday morning, and I understand it is that way on weekends throughout the summer. The hotel is not too far from Hershey - about a 10 minute drive. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The room was accessible, so it was a bit bigger. This was nice as it allowed my mom enough room to use her scooter. We were on the 4th floor (421), which was quiet. The water pressure could have been better - not great, but adequate. The kids appreciated Netflix available on the TV. :) My only complaint was with regard to housekeeping. We were at the hotel 4 nights. We received housekeeping service on day 1, but never again after that. Overall, not a huge deal, but we did need to use the towels to keep the floor dry (roll-in shower allowed a lot of water to escape), so we were short on towels and our (small) trash cans were overflowing. On day 4, I mentioned to the front desk that we had no service - he brought a garbage bag and some extra towels. Again, the front desk staff was great.

The hotel staff were so kind and helpful! The cleanliness of the whole facility was immaculate. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place that feels as clean and comfortable as home.
