Hershey Lodge

Stayed here after crunching the numbers and comparing amenities with local hotels. This place was a great decision!! Not only is there something for everyone, but the hospitality and food was worth it. The free shuttle was definitely worth it and a big headache saver. The perks of staying here with or without kids is worth the price. Had a standard room and it was spacious and very clean. Hotel staff was attentive and quick to respond when we texted on their customer service line. Had no complaints for entire weekend stay. Would return in a heartbeat when in the area.

Hershey Lodge met all of our expectations for location, service, cleanliness, quality and decor! I used the App for hotel and dining info, very convenient to have. The location to the park can’t be beat. The shuttle was under ten minutes and easy to use. Shuttle came often and we barely had to wait for one. Quicker than Disney and the App has arrival times. Drivers so friendly and informative. Check was easy, friendly staff, Hershey bars upon arrival, who wouldn’t like that? We didn’t need help with luggage but plenty of Staff to assist if needed. We stayed in the Kisses building. Highly recommend. Room was clean, spacious, beds and pull out couch comfortable. Good sized fridge and microwave. Dining amazing. Bears Den has the crispiest wings you’ll ever have. We ate at the pool restaurant, Fire and Grain for breakfast and dinner and Cocoa Beanery. Great food, great service at all. Only thing I wished they’d explain at checkin was how housekeeping worked. They don’t automatically come, you have to schedule it. For the cost of the room, you really shouldn’t need to schedule housekeeping, it should be automatic and daily. We eventually saw on the paper sheet that was provided at check in a note on how the housekeeping worked but it was at the bottom of a long list of other items and easily missed. Should be explained at the front desk. We did need extra towels and items but we called and service was great, the items were sent up right away. Indoor pool was tons of fun. My kids loved it. As an adult I loved it and went down the waterslides. Hershey Lodge was exactly as advertised and the two waterslides were a lot of fun. Anyone complaining that the indoor waterpark is sub par is a Karen. If you’re expecting Great Wolf Lodge then go there instead. Tons of lifeguards and pools were clean and safe. Finally the arcade was fun, you can get lots of games for the price. Prices at the entire hotel for dining, games etc were extremely reasonable. If anyone says otherwise, come to Boston for a day and then report back. 5/5 stars. If we lived closer we’d go often!

This was our first time at Hershey Lodge. As resorts go, it is nice, well-maintained and of course some Hershey Park perks. Severely overpriced for what you get ($549). These are Vegas/NYC prices and they have nothing that warrants that price level. Even with the pools, minigolf, etc. The room is small and tight. The bathrooms are dated and tiny. The closet is also tiny. These beds are not that comfortable. The pillows are nice and they give you plenty. Even with the Water Works attraction and early entry benefits it is not worth the price. Water Works is nice if you have small children. 13 and up will be too old for it. Plenty of things for young kids and nice. The minigolf is fun. One of my kids got five holes in one. So not that challenging but a nice thing to do.
