"Ashley and Dave are the perfect hosts. She welcomed us when we first arrived, showed us the house and our room, explained that they live on the top floor, then left us alone. I could tell that she would have answered any questions we had about the area, but we already had plans and she respected that. We did not meet Dave until the next morning, when he served us breakfast. He was warm and friendly but also left us alone to enjoy breakfast at our cozy little table for two. The house itself is charming, and our room was very comfortable (especially the bed and large shower--we were in the Empire room.) We did not spend much time at the B&B as we had things to do in nearby Ithaca and Corning, but we appreciated the good night's sleep! In the morning, we were treated to wonderful breakfasts. Guests are given a choice of four entrees and because there were two of us and we were there on two mornings, we got to try them all. (And yes, Ashley can make some changes if there you have food restrictions.) To be more specific, the first morning we started with fruit and yogurt, then I had scrambled eggs with delicious potatoes, bacon and greens and my husband had the sourdough pancakes with bacon. The second morning we started with warm croissants, then I had the ricotta and feta toast topped with scrambled eggs, with roasted tomatoes on the vine and some greens, and my husband had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. All were good choices and were very tasty! I would definitely recommend this B&B, especially for couples on a romantic weekend."
