I booked the Hotel for my 60th birthday lunch for nearly 50 people. Prior to the event I dealt with and made arrangements with Zoe the event organiser. Zoe was attentive at all times and made suggestions/recommendations to ensure my event went well. On the day itself all Staff were brilliant and went out of their way to assist in any way they could. Paul who looked after the running of my event and the bar staff were excellent. The cooked food that was served for lunch was exceptional. All of my guests had a wonderful time. At least 8 couples all stayed the night at the hotel and then met for breakfast - which was equally as good. Thank you to all at Highfield Park for really making my 60th birthday celebrations perfect. I will definitely be back.

We came and stayed for the week with work. The hotel staff go above and beyond for you. Thanks so much for everything you helped with this week it was fantastic. I’ve been a few times to this hotel. The rooms are nice with a big bath. Due to the age and style of the building my bathroom had very low pointing ceilings and I kept banging my head. But other than that it was a great week and we will be back!

Booked this Hotel late as the traffic was so bad. I'm glad I did. Great service, from reception to bar staff to breakfast staff. The staff friendly and helpful, very kind. The hotel is lovely and so are the grounds. Will diffently be back. Great value for money, unbeatable value actually

I stayed alone for two nights whilst working locally. On my first morning, at 6:45am, I was woken by the sound of the electronic lock on my door and then someone entering my room. I shouted, and the male voices quickly retreated with a brief “oh, sorry.” Distressed, I went straight to reception to understand why this had happened. I was told it was due to “a glitch in the system,” meaning the hotel could not see if the room was occupied and had issued another guest a key to my room. As a solo female traveller, this was absolutely unacceptable. A hotel’s most basic responsibility is to ensure that rooms are secure and that guests are safe. To think that another person could be given access to my room, while I was inside sleeping, is deeply concerning. When I asked if the individuals still had access to my room key, the response was, “not sure, I’ll get it sorted.” That lack of clarity and urgency only heightened my concern. Although the receptionist was apologetic, I heard nothing from any of the staff for the remainder of my stay. No reassurance. This was not a minor inconvenience but a fundamental breach of safety. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone until they demonstrate that they take guest security seriously.

Disgraceful customer service from Rebecca smith. The tone in which Rebecca explained the cancellation policy to me is something I have never come across having worked in hospitality myself. Unfortunately I had to cancel afternoon tea due to my friend being taken ill. I asked to reschedule the afternoon tea using the voucher I had paid for however she offered no flexibility in her response or remorse for my poorly friend. Her solution was for me to collect a take away box like uber eats ! I am disappointed and will never book with them again. Thanks for taking my £100 and providing a shocking service
