The hotel is in a great location, within easy walk to shops, cafes, and other businesses. The neighborhood has a nice vibe to it. Reception did not tell me anything about the hotel when I checked in. I still don’t know if they have a fitness room or if the restaurant next door is attached to the hotel. The room was spacious. I had plenty of space to work. The bathroom was small, but I liked the shower. The bed was really bad. It was old, and there were two valleys on each side of the mattress. I almost asked for another room, but I was jet lagged and so tired that it didn’t bother me. But the hotel should upgrade their mattresses. The instant coffee was really bad. One could think they should find a different brand. The room had nice appliances, including a safe, refrigerator, stove, etc. it had a comfortable chair to sit in.

I really liked the apartment, which had a great balcony with a good vista. It was exactly what I hoped for, with the exception of 1) no coffee making facilities (plunger or pod machine) and 2) there was a power outage (hotel only; not neighbourhood) at check-in time so I could not check in until 5pm which lost me around half a day of a weekend trip. Things don't always go right, but I think there should have been some kind of customer care follow-up to apologise for the incovenience etc.

I needed to stay 3 nights during renovations to my home and my stay was excellent as the bedroom is like an apartment. It has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, huge bed, huge windows so plenty of light, location is great near the Hawthorn shops, cafes and restaurants, cinemas, Catholic Church and tram and train. Excellent in every sense.
