Econo Lodge Cherry Point

Was not in our room 5 minutes until someone tried to break into my car. The room door lock was broken. The coffee pot was broken and thrown into the floor. There were pills all over the floor. Razor blades on the floor. Empty cans under the bed. And no my friends the pool was closed. Now I can’t find their direct number. Pissed tf off. We pd $300 to stay one night!

The room looked like it had not been cleaned, it looked like they just went in and made the bed, yet the bed had stains on the comforter, the mattress pad and pillows. The shower was stained and dirty, the toilet was not cleaned at all. The metal lamps and desk chair were rusted and there was a rotted spot and hole in the wall in the bathroom. The fridge and microwave were also dirty and you could tell they weren’t even touched. On top of all of that, my boyfriend went to the front desk to confirm our reservation and make sure we knew when our check out was and told them if he was going to be charged extra for the next night, he did not want it. He showed what he booked on his phone and they said what we thought was correct. Fast forward to the next day, we’re on the beach and get a notification that his card was charged an extra $107, so later he went and talked to them again where they said he must have misunderstood and that our checkout was supposed to be that morning.

We had stayed here once before and found it quite nice, but now the renovations add a special plus to this hotel. I'm disabled and LOVED the walk in shower. Added plus to the rooms, now I don't need 2 people to help me into a tub. The staff are Very nice and Very helpful. The rooms super clean and spacious. We will be back
