Hyatt Regency Long Island

Convenient hotel for business or long island explorations. It's too far from NYC, so bear that in mind if NYC is on the visit plan. Car is mandatory to move around, even travelling from NYC or JFY to here.

There are three elevators and only one was working the whole time and then when we went to use it, we waited 15 minutes and it didn’t come so we had to go down six flights of stairs. One of the ladies at the front desk was so rude I couldn’t even believe she has a job in customer service.

Rugs are dirty ( black bottoms on white socks slippers), bathroom tiles moldy ( why not replace with those cover-up vinyl) , furniture in room stained ( again, how much cost to replace with vinyl chairs which can be wiped down?) Pool too cold and no jacuzzi. One ice machine on 10 floors for 650 rooms!! So not good value for $$, still a good comfy bed and nice soaps and shampoos. I got beautiful view onto golf course on 9th floor. TV has limited channels. Ok not here except for comfy bed and nice hot shower!! They should make known: free coffee in breakfast dining room, get filtered water in gym, must pick up own free creamers for room coffee in lobby store.

I booked a room for a wedding party. I needed a King bed because I was bringing my child. I called and spoke to a customer service agent a month before the wedding to switch my room from a double to a king. I was cancelled for one double, and rebooked for a double and a king. Not only was the group rate not honored for me booking the King room but I was double charged for a double room within the group rate when I did not book it or use it! The front desk and reservations were rude, kept me on hold for an unnecessary amount of time and wound up being no help when I tried to rectify the situation saying I “cancelled the double room after the 24 hour policy” The customer service was awful with saying “there’s nothing we can do” and couldn’t even honor the cancellation policy when I was paying full price for a room. I will not be returning to this hotel in the future

The hotel was very nice and the lounge was enjoyable. My only complaint was I ordered 2 personal pizzas and a burger with fries at the restaurant and they charged $80to my room which is a little crazy.

Good. Nice and Pleasant stay. Had a wonderful experiences at this hotel. I visit this hotel every year and it been very nice stay all the time.
