We arrived late due to train delays but check in was still open and fairly straightforward. When I arrived at my room I opened the door to a twin room, even though I had booked a double. If there was an availability issue, fair enough, but I would have expected to be told at check in, but there was no mention of this. When I tried to sleep I noticed a foul smell coming from the end of the room with the bathroom, a sewage smell that made me feel sick. In the morning when I tried to pack my luggage, I had to do it in the dark as the room had no main light, only side lamps. Breakfast was average. I won't be coming back.

Pros: - The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice, good quality food. - The hotel itself is very well presented. - I loved how the lift works, you press the button for your floor on the outside and it tells you which lift to get in - the hotel rooftop bar was great, with nice cocktails and friendly staff Cons: - Unfortunately, when we arrived, even though I had requested on my booking and emailed the day before to confirm, my special request, which is feather free bedding due to allergies, had not been done. This then took an hour to rectify, and we ended up with a random selection of bedding. When it's something like allergies, it should be prioritised and dealt with quickly as it means I can't relax after a long day of travelling. The lady who changed the bedding was lovely. - We had twin beds when we had requested a double, this was apparently due to availability, which is fine, but it would have been nice to address and explain this when I checked in rather than let me go up to my room then confusingly think I was in the wrong one. It would have also been nice to suggest pushing them together, for example, which we ended up doing. - There are no do not disturb/make up my room signs, which meant we were disturbed a few times and didn't have our room made up when we needed it. Strange to be in a hotel without this and seems like a simple fix - Our water was not replenished in our room, but you can drink tap water, so it was fine

Nice hotel. Perfectly situated. Parking Qpark, underneath hotel. Breakfast was superb! So many options. Dinner in restaurant is also recommended.

Disappointed Bathroom sink was blocked, toilet didn’t flush well. Shower was weak and leaked on floor. Room lights are dim and it’s dark when changing
