Service was great, as was the food during our stay. However, the beds were uncomfortable, and the valance around bed had stains. The building is lovely but slightly tired. Restaurant and bar was great, and the staff here were amazing. Bathroom old and needs some repairs, with some invested funds this place could be a real beauty.

Restaurant closed. No information about this online. No smart tv as last time we were here. No information about this either. In a small, quite town like Haparanda, you need this to get through the evening. Nothing else to do. Otherwise, lovely staff, beautiful building!

I arrived by train and the walk to the hotel was as cold as I've ever been. The hotel though was very warm and the restaurant food and service superb. Staying and eating there was the high point of my trip. The following morning I went for a walk to the Finnish border because I had not been before. The breakfast is served until late and so I was able to warm up on my return.

Such an amazing feel to be back in history!! The decoration and vibe there was great to me being a visitor of a small town. And the staff are amazing too and dedicated to their job. Every single receptionist was suave and eager to help out. I checked in late and the guy was still around to help me go in, and they were also accommodating to me being around and use the facility even after checking out. The place is clean, spacious and nice sauna. It was snowy and did not have a chance to really explore town but it looked beautiful nonetheless. Open buffet for breakfast but really good. I can’t say anything bad about the place.

Pros - Beautiful hotel, right on the border of Sweden and Finland. The hotel itself is like a museum, close to the northern most ikea in the world and a shopping mall, the restaurant in the hotel is very delicious as well.
Cons - Breakfast is not too good, beds are not comfortable
