Nice owners and beautiful property but the rooms need work.
Very little hot water. My shower was like warm at best. Paper thin walls. I heard every word the guy next to me said. At times it sounded like he was in my bathroom. Also on that note, the employees decided that 730am was a good time to sweep outside my door for 1 hour straight. Of course I heard every step and brissel on that broom. The rooms are old. Definitely need some serious updating. The bed is almost broken. I say that because the whole frame sifts when you get in. Could not figure out the TV.
Other than that just like many back roads in Thailand it is very narrow so please be careful.

My partner and I stayed here for one night and adored it. Beautiful grounds with many areas to chill out and enjoy the weather. The owners are very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. Excellent value for money! It's also an easy 10 minute walk to the Grand Canyon waterpark. If you're in the area, I would definitely put this top of your list to stay.

We spent 5 incredible days with our two teenagers in one of the “rice granaries” transformed and built by Ali and Nok, the owners of the guest house. The place is magnificent and relaxing - the garden, splendid. The owners are very friendly and ready to help and inform. The hotel is approx. 20 km from Chiang Mai, the ideal is to have a car or take advantage of the many tours organized from the hotel. water park 15 minutes away. walk. The place also has a small refreshing swimming pool and farm animals which roam peacefully in the garden (geese, chickens… 2 friendly dogs). …all accompanied by songs of frogs at night and birds during the day.

We had a very relaxing couple of days after the hectic waterfights of Chiang Mai. Al and Nok were very welcoming and we had lovely chats with both of them. The room was incredible- very comfortable bed and my children loved their bunks. Nok made us delicious breakfasts- a Full English on the first day and fresh fruit with granola the next. The animals and gardens are a real selling point and the kids loved wandering around. We look forward to visiting again!

Rice Barns is a really lovely peaceful place to stay. The garden is beautiful and the pool is great! Kitchen was great and really well stocked fridge to purchase drinks and snacks very cheaply. Nok and Al are so kind and helpful! Sweet animals especially the lovely pups Simba and Jess! Great coffee shop across the road too! Transport was a little tricky but Grab works pretty well and it wasn’t too hard to get into town. Thank you for a lovely stay!
