The Historic Michabelle Inn is worth a visit when you are on the Northshore. The property itself is beautiful with fantastic grounds. Check-in was seamless, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with the owner and his wife. They made sure we felt at home. Our room was spacious and inviting, offering a cozy atmosphere while still feeling airy. And the views from our balcony were awesome! We highly recommend the Historic Michabelle Inn to anyone visiting Hammond. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to the area.

Loved our cottage and the quaintness of the home!! Breakfast was very enjoyable! The bed was very comfortable-which is always an important feature for us:). Sondra met us so graciously and gave us a wonderful welcome, and historic information about the home. All in all, a lovely stay!! A perfect get- away- not too far from home!!

Absolutely amazing and the chef is fantastic. The breakfast is amazing. I'll definitely be staying there again if I travel Through Hammond, Louisiana again! The host was absolutely amazing amazing too very very sweet gentleman!

Beautiful historic inn. Bottom line, the best bang for the buck north of the lake. On our most recent visit we stayed in one of the suites apart from the house - the suites are all themed to fun themes - ours was Sheherezade (the heroine of 1001 Arabian Nights). It is private, ginormous, comfortable and beautifully and amusingly decorated (think camel statue), with a big jacuzzi tub. The Inn itself dates to the 1800s and is gorgeous - don't skip breakfast, not just because it's nicer than your usual hotel breakfast but because the breakfast room and other common areas of the Inn are so beautiful and calming. David and his wife run a tight ship (for which we are grateful - you don't have to worry about your neighbors being too loud or partying late), and are very kind. We've now stayed at the HMI approximately 8 times, and plan to do so many times in the future.

They double booked my room so I was hours from home and no where to stay then blamed it on ********* when they are the ones who show availability so if you're gonna get a room here, make sure you call ahead

This place is truly a hidden gem. Quaint and cozy with old world charm. We had a wonderful weekend stay celebrating my birthday. Easy to access downtown Hammond or antique district in Ponchatoula to explore. Hosts were very accommodating. Would definitely return for a getaway!

Very nice and accommodating owner. Easy to communicate with. No elevator, so had to carry suitcases up two narrow flight of stairs—not easy for 74 year old. Nice size room with closet and desk. It’s a very old house so drafty. After first cold night, requested extra blanket but our room was not made after first night and no extra blanket provided. Great view of scenic yard. Pedestal vanity in bathroom so no room for toiletries. Even though the description on website said separate tub and shower, there is just a gigantic deep tub—even with a stool I was too scared to try it. The breakfast was very good—cooked to order eggs, potatoes, sausage patty, and croissant.
