Radisson Blu Hotel, Ha Long Bay

The service was absolutely awful. The hotel facilities were just for show. The restaurant was practically empty. 1. I ordered a coffee on the 6th floor, and it wasn't even delivered until I finished my swim. 2. The front desk check-in process took half an hour, and the receptionist left me halfway through to talk to other guests. Their efficiency was truly inefficient. The next door had already checked in five people, but mine hadn't even been completed for two. I asked her to hurry up, but she got incredibly impatient and even left me alone to talk to someone nearby. The service was completely unbelievable for a hotel of this caliber. 3. The restaurant was practically empty. 4. The staff were so busy they barely had time to serve customers. I randomly asked them what floor the restaurant was on, but they didn't know. I told them to go find it myself. Then, all the staff, including the cleaning lady, were watching over me like they were thieves. This was the worst hotel service experience I've ever had. It didn't feel like home at all! The overall service was unbelievable for a hotel of this caliber.

The room had a "Do Not Disturb" sign, but when I knocked on the door, a male employee suddenly entered with the room card. I was a little scared, as this kind of situation should not happen in a five-star hotel.

The room was actually okay, but there was one issue that really frustrates me. I was traveling with three friends, and when we booked the room on Ctrip, it was configured with a king-size bed and two twin beds, which was exactly what we wanted. But after booking, we double-checked at the hotel, and it turned out they only had twin beds, not triple beds. We tried to book a new room, but they could only find it on a different floor, which was inconvenient. In the end, the three of us were squeezed into two beds, and we were charged an extra two or three hundred yuan for sharing a twin-bed room. What's frustrating is that I booked the room for three beds, but for that price, I only got twin beds, and only one room. Why is the room configuration on Ctrip different from the actual configuration at the hotel? I made a wrong reservation, overpaid, and my stay was compromised.

If you see this review, this is a hotel you should never book. I have been to many 5-star hotels in Vietnam. I will list the incidents that I personally experienced. 1. The location feels like it is in the middle of a construction site. If you book a high-rise, you won't be able to see it unless you look down, but there is nothing around the hotel. 2. You have to pay a deposit. I have never paid a deposit in Vietnam, but I understand that this is required for luxury hotels. However, you have to pay more than the deposit stated on the trip. (1.5 million VND) 3. The room is not very clean. It is said to be near the beach, but there is a lot of rust inside. 4. The room is very small for the price. (I recommend checking the size.) 5. The breakfast is not a buffet. There are not many options, so if you want a buffet, you should go somewhere else. 6. If you touch everything in the room and make a mistake, you will have to pay the deposit + additional costs. The last point is very important, and it is 'everything'. (floor, table, bed sheet, toilet, towel, refrigerator, etc.) I put my carrier on the table and they said my carrier scratched the table, so I got 2 million dong (about 120,000 won) rip off. Of course, the table could have been scratched because of my carrier. It felt like I was hit with the scratches that were already there, so it was really unfair. It was also my fault for not checking if the scratches were there when I first checked in. The hotel staff who responded to this were also quite unpleasant, and when I asked if I could see the condition of other rooms, they just said that our hotel was clean and that it couldn't be like that. When I first checked in, I thought it was pitiful that the staff were fighting with Chinese people, but it wasn't. Haha. You'll see the staff fighting with customers every morning. But if you still want to make a reservation because of the view, I recommend you check out the Google reviews. I also made a reservation without looking at the Google reviews, but this hotel is a mess because they all said they were charged. I thought it was the most expensive and best hotel in Halong, so I made a reservation, but the nearby 40,000 won hotel has a much better view and service. I stayed for 3 nights out of a total of 10 nights and booked another hotel nearby, so I was impressed by even the small services.

A standard new hotel, which is already a good hotel in Halong. The room size is OK. The front desk staff in the lobby are warm, polite and friendly. They all speak English very well. Seeing that I am Chinese, they also try to speak Chinese. Thank you. There are Vietnamese specialties in the breakfast, such as Vietnamese baguette, sticky rice, fried fish balls, rice noodles, etc. The most impressive thing is that the service attitude of the service staff at each work position is very good.
