Nice room, nice bistro and bar. We had a big room with lots of windows. Close to the station, the city center and the river. Wi-fi is quite slow

The hotel was very clean and the receptionists were very kind. They helped me with all my questions and I saw how helpful they were towards other stayers.

Located next to the Halmstad trainstation, this very nice renovated hotel in a 1905 built house is tastefully furnished. Snacks @bar and choice @restaurant as well as the offered breakfast buffet are culinaric highlights. We felt very comfortable from the beginning and would choose the Grand again when staying in Halmstad. BTW; public parking (FOC 18:00 - 09:00) is located just around the corner.

Overall this property was just ok. I booked through ******* and when we arrived we had a very very difficult time trying to get a room. The host does NOT speak English, even though the listing showed that she did. The listing also listed a tub, which it did not have.
We were told that we could not get breakfast since we didn’t book in advance enough (but ended up being offered breakfast the next morning). There was not air conditioning even though it specified it had one and no window coverings. The bed faced a window that could look into other windows from a home next door. Very awkward.
The stay was ok and we did appreciate the uniqueness of it but the experience trying to get into a room overshadowed the experience.
I felt as though the listing was false advertisement.

I like that the hotel have som intresting exteriordesign. Not just a bland building. But a vell keept 120year old exterior. Whit rooms that are up to date.

Satisfied with everything. I ve only missed the pancakes at monday morning. But quality of everything was very good and the hotel has also a good location, I would definitely come back again!
