A very upscale hotel. Gorgeous room. Sophisticated lighting and controls. Loved the automatic night lite as you approach the bathroom. One of the most comfortable beds, slept wonderfully for 4 nights. Air handler has simple controls and very quiet. Interesting large cabinet that houses a drawer with a tea pot a drawer with an expresso machine, a drawer with coffee service, and a drawer that functions as a refrigerator. You get what you pay for!!

Very clean friendly , great location . Modern very nice decor and the amenities are top notch . The Gymn is outstanding. The little speak easy is also a cool experience.. This really is a fabulous place to stay in the water .

What a wonderful hotel. This was a repeat visit for us and we absolutely loved it. The detail in the rooms is fantastic - reception was a delight and service was exceptional. A huge bonus was a sail on the Muir sailboat with Peter and Chantelle - it absolutely made the visit to Halifax. They were amazing. We will be back for sure.

We loved the Muir, the staff is so exceptional. Everyone treated us like we were royalty. The hotel really goes out of its way to make you feel special as a guest. Our room was really nice, all the touches are first rate. We had a wonderful view of the water. The bathroom and shower were amazing. It was just a really good experience. It's worth a trip back to Halifax just to stay at the Muir. It's really an amazing hotel.

I have been an international consultant for over 50 years. Between my wife and I have lived in 7 countries, traveling extensively for work and vacation. We lost track of the times we said this hotel, its design, food and MOST IMPORTANTLY the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, “is among the best, if not the best hotel we recall staying in”! My personal experience is a range of 5 Star hotels in US, Europe, and South America to suffering evenings where pizza is delivered and asking deliverer to step back as somewhat fearful based on location. Given this range of experience can assert the differentiation is the people. 50 years on the road and can attest the Muir staff experience is the best of the best.

Wonderful stay in Nova Scotia at Muir Hotel. We had a beautiful room with a view of the harbor. The staff at the hotel took care of all of our requests. We celebrated our 35th anniversary. Highly recommend taking out their kayaks first thing in the morning!

Fantastic hotel! Wonderful service from every staff person we encountered. Try to book a suite if you can, they are beautifully designed and so comfortable! Great breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Nice turn down service. Spa and fitness center were great! Yes, pool is small, but loved the cold plunge, salt steam, infrared sauna, and all the exercise equipment. A true oasis and far and above the best hotel in Halifax!
