The location of the hotel is very good. It is near the pier in the center of Halifax. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. The breakfast in the hotel is very good. The hotel room is a suite. The room is large and clean.

We love the Hollis by Doubletree in Halifax! It is a great location only 2 blocks away from the waterfront/boardwalk. So all your restaurants, museums and sights are within walking distance. Parking is available publicly. If you require IN&OUT your only option is valet. Otherwise public parking down the street is your best option. While the Hollis has done some cosmetic upgrades and added a very fine mid range restaurant for breakfast and dinner, some areas will require some more attention. We were in room 605 and the ceiling above the bathtub looked rather scary. Also one of the 2 beds, the one closer to the window was so worn out that I kept rolling in the middle when my husband was laying beside me. So I opted to sleep with my daughter for our stay. Her mattress was somewhat firmer. Besides that the Hollis is our go to in Halifax for many reasons. We do love it there!

Great Location in the center of Halifax. Roam was large and very clean. Staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful throughout our visit. There is some noise from Building works in the area, but there is nothing the Hotel can do about this.
