The facilities were what stood out at this hotel, from the complimentary red bean soup and crackers post-ski, to the beautiful public and private onsen with free ice pop and coffee milk, to the ping-pong table that our boys enjoyed in the evening. We booked the evening meals package with Ctrip which made it very convenient to have dinner in the hotel. The food was delicious although there was too much of it and it took 90mn to complete the course. I wish there was a casual Japanese restaurant onsite. The two bedroom junior suite gave a lot of extra space and privacy 👍🏻. What we found strange was that our room was ready by 1:30pm and our luggages were in but we weren’t allowed in until 3pm. Please make a conscious effort not to loose the hotel key card as they charge ¥3,000 for a lost keycard. That last note put a dim on our otherwise great stay.

Playground is very fun. Kid enjoy playing the snow. French restaurant dinner is good. Onsen superb.

The Onsen is good. The only downside is wearing the in house Japanese yukata is prohibited in restaurants and some area. It is not that convenient to change clothing back and forth.

Friendly staff, great hot springs, good food, comfortable facilities.

Excellent resort

It's the second time I stayed here after 5 years. Because the price increased so much during the Chinese New Year, I only stayed for one night, but the children still liked it very much. They could find candies to eat, and there were snacks in the evening. There was milk and ice cream in the hot springs. I was satisfied with everything. Although the hotel is old, it is well maintained. The hot springs have a light smell of sulfur. Every day after skiing, the snacks and hot springs are super comfortable. The only drawback is that the location is a little bit off. You can either take the hotel shuttle or the ski resort shuttle to go out.

This hotel has unbeatable snow scenery and great service. Although Hakuba is inconvenient for transportation, the hotel has free shuttle buses to various distribution points in Hakuba. You still need to take the bus to the two nearby ski resorts, but we were lucky that day and met a free car with the word Sera printed on it to take us to Tsugaike. I don't understand what the mechanism is. The hotel has free popcorn, wine, sake, apple juice, red bean soup, milk, coffee, oden, curry rice, ice cream, etc., which can basically meet all the needs of a short stay. The best thing is the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby, which are very photogenic and very friendly for families with children who love to play in the snow. They can watch over their children indoors with the heater on. The comments all said that the dinner was average, so I booked the hotel's car to go to Roujiang, a super delicious barbecue restaurant, highly recommended, but reservations must be made in advance.

The attitude of the ** Japanese man who booked the dinner at the Western restaurant was very bad. The first night was arranged in the snow view lobby. The second night was arranged in a small private room next to the lobby, with four walls inside. The last table of 6-7 people was dining. I asked him why he sat inside, and there were all empty seats outside. Why didn't he let us sit. He couldn't explain. He said he had to sit inside anyway. Later, he called a girl who could speak English. He rejected us with all kinds of unreasonable questions. He said that someone had booked something. The whole lobby was empty. Later, after our negotiation, he saw that we were very determined and helped us arrange it outside. So I seriously suspect that the man at the front desk of this restaurant is somewhat anti-Chinese!

You can also soak in hot springs and eat free ice cream at night

The facilities of this hotel are very good. The hotel is located on a hill. The hot spring equipment is very good. The room is tidy, the garden in the center of the hotel is very beautiful, and it is close to the ski resort. It is very convenient to get there by shuttle bus. The catering is very good, there are many free drinks, the food supply and the ability to rent ski equipment are simply top-notch.

This trip was quite disappointing. This is the second time my family has stayed at Serra Resort. Compared with last time, the snacks in the lounge have shrunk a lot this time and seem very careless. There was おでん, but it was not hot, there was no bowl, no chopsticks, and there was no waiter. Another guest and I spent a long time looking for it, and we could only use toothpicks to solve the problem. The newly brought out おでん contained only five quail eggs. There is no trace of last year’s delicious snacks, steamed buns, etc. There used to be juice in the hotel lobby, but now there is none. The restaurant originally had Chinese food options, but there were actually hotel Chinese restaurants that were closed. The French food in the Western restaurant remains unchanged, the same style for two consecutive years. Although the service and environment are good, and the ingredients are fresh, it is true that catering is not careless. This restaurant sells its environment. In addition, the cleaning of the room was a little rough. Used toothpaste and other supplies were not replenished in time, and the room was arranged in a hasty manner. On the last day, I also found stink bugs and hard-shelled bugs on the bed. I've seen it in hot springs too. This is a relatively common insect in Japan, but seeing it in a hotel shows that hygiene is not done properly.
