Dengfeng Hotels with Gym

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating. It’s just a few minutes from the Shaolin Temple, and the owner even offered transportation to and from the site. The food is delicious, I tried the egg fried rice, Sichuan Mala chicken, and Mala tofu (beancurd). the portions are generous and easily enough for 2–3 people. The rooftop offers stunning views of the mountains, and the owner is happy to serve tea if you’d like. There are also clothes-drying areas on the 2nd and 5th floors. While language differences limit conversation, the couple’s kindness and hospitality truly shine through. I would absolutely stay here again if I return. Heads-up: I wanted to go to Luoyang, and the owner kindly took me to a nearby spot where the bus stops. She even spoke to the driver to help me get on the right bus. After a while, the driver informed me through a note that he was heading to Gongyi instead. He asked me to get down and pointed towards another bus. I then took the bus, confirming with the driver that it was going to Luoyang before boarding. However, the same thing happened again; the driver stopped halfway and asked me to take a taxi. It seemed like the taxi driver might have been the bus driver’s acquaintance as he boarded the bus right after bus stops. The taxi driver initially quoted me 150 yuan to take me to my hotel in Luoyang. I wanted to use Didi, but the app couldn’t recognise the hotel’s name. Since the hotel was only a few meters from the Longmen Grottoes, I knew the fare should be around 65 yuan. I showed him the price on the app and he eventually agreed on 100 yuan. My advice: if you’re unsure of the bus route, go directly to the bus station. They will help you find the correct bus to your destination and let you know if any transfers are needed. This experience ended up being quite inconvenient, costing me both time and money. What should have been a 30-yuan trip from Dengfeng to Luoyang ended up costing me three times more. The owner had nothing to do with this, it’s just a heads-up for anyone planning to take the bus.

I didn't expect to find such a great B&B near Shaolin Temple. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and Songshan Mountain was visible from the window. There was a poetry collection by the bed, and the food was delicious. Most importantly, it's pet-friendly, not the kind that says ”friendly” but rolls their eyes. Before we left, the owner said he'd take us to the entrance of the scenic area, but we didn't (and got scammed once along the way). You could have saved 15 yuan on parking fees, but you still have to listen to advice when you're out and about.

The hotel we stayed in this time was quite nice. It was a garden-style hotel that integrated guest rooms, dining and leisure. The hotel is very large and is built along the mountain from south to north, nestled in the natural landscape of Songshan Mountain. Their hotel is in a great location, right at the foot of Mount Song. Standing in the back garden, you can see the winding and undulating Songshan Mountain Range. The lush trees on the mountain are very beautiful, which makes people feel better unconsciously. When we checked in, the front desk staff Chen Peiying and Gao Xue provided warm and thoughtful service. Zhao Zhe took us to the room and introduced it clearly and in detail. The lobby staff Guo Gengan and Zheng Lijun provided very good service, warm and thoughtful. They helped us scan the parking tickets and carried our luggage. The overall stay experience was very good.

The room was okay, but the variety in the breakfast room was limited. After eight o'clock, there was basically no food. Dinner closed at nine o'clock, and the omelette chef could only fry six at a time. A piece of instant noodles was cut in half and cooked, and four wontons were given at a time. It was almost too much to eat. The most important thing is that the price of check-in and the price on the day of departure are definitely cheaper on site than on Ctrip. I don't understand.

All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

The location of the hotel is a bit strange, but the security guard will come out to lead the way. The breakfast is not very varied and is quite ordinary. The soy milk is more authentic. The shower water is not hot enough. The parking space is easy to park. It is close to Shaolin Temple.

The decoration is very new, very clean, there is smart furniture inside, the environment has nothing to say, very good. The breakfast is also very good. The staff was very welcoming, I left late, and helped me extend the check-out time for one hour for free. There are washing machines and dryers. After playing for a day, washing clothes at night, and wearing them the next day. The hotel is not far from the entrance of Taishi Mountain Xiangyang Scenic Area. It is very convenient to go to Taishi Mountain to climb. Later, Dengfeng and still live here.

I have to give the store good reviews. It was raining heavily when we went there, and they were always waiting at the door. The room was comfortable and clean, and the service was warm and thoughtful. They prepared a rich breakfast on the second morning and helped us find a free parking lot. , praise, absolute praise
