Hotels with Breakfast in Dengfeng

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating. It’s just a few minutes from the Shaolin Temple, and the owner even offered transportation to and from the site. The food is delicious, I tried the egg fried rice, Sichuan Mala chicken, and Mala tofu (beancurd). the portions are generous and easily enough for 2–3 people. The rooftop offers stunning views of the mountains, and the owner is happy to serve tea if you’d like. There are also clothes-drying areas on the 2nd and 5th floors. While language differences limit conversation, the couple’s kindness and hospitality truly shine through. I would absolutely stay here again if I return. Heads-up: I wanted to go to Luoyang, and the owner kindly took me to a nearby spot where the bus stops. She even spoke to the driver to help me get on the right bus. After a while, the driver informed me through a note that he was heading to Gongyi instead. He asked me to get down and pointed towards another bus. I then took the bus, confirming with the driver that it was going to Luoyang before boarding. However, the same thing happened again; the driver stopped halfway and asked me to take a taxi. It seemed like the taxi driver might have been the bus driver’s acquaintance as he boarded the bus right after bus stops. The taxi driver initially quoted me 150 yuan to take me to my hotel in Luoyang. I wanted to use Didi, but the app couldn’t recognise the hotel’s name. Since the hotel was only a few meters from the Longmen Grottoes, I knew the fare should be around 65 yuan. I showed him the price on the app and he eventually agreed on 100 yuan. My advice: if you’re unsure of the bus route, go directly to the bus station. They will help you find the correct bus to your destination and let you know if any transfers are needed. This experience ended up being quite inconvenient, costing me both time and money. What should have been a 30-yuan trip from Dengfeng to Luoyang ended up costing me three times more. The owner had nothing to do with this, it’s just a heads-up for anyone planning to take the bus.

Xiaojuan and Xiaojing received us. They gave us fruits and helped with our luggage. The lobby is very grand and luxuriously decorated. The breakfast is rich and varied. It may be the off-season, so there are not many people. The standard room is also very large and spacious. There are four buildings in total. We lived in Building 3. I didn't pay attention when I bought the package and didn't buy breakfast. Xiaojuan took the initiative to give breakfast to the six of us. Thank you very much. We traveled for a week and visited four cities. This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in the same price range. There is no other. It is clean, tidy, luxurious and very respectable to entertain customers. It is a good choice.

We are a couple from Sweden that has been backpacking around the world for two years and we usually travel a lot. The stay was very nice! Very comfy bed with great duna and linen. The shower was awesome! And the room is beautiful. The breakfast room/reception is nice to relax at and there is also a living room when you enter the building were you can relax as well. Try to get a room on a higher floor and you get some mountain views. The owners are lovely and the husband is a somilier and gave us a glass of wine for free when we ordered dinner. You really need to try their food! It was really nice and so was the breakfast. We had dinner twice when we were there, try the sizzling beef and mushrooms. The staff is really nice and helpful especially the owners brother that helped us a lot with everything! We will for sure stay here again when we visit Dengfeng. I didn't expect to find such a great B&B near Shaolin Temple. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and Songshan Mountain was visible from the window. There was a poetry collection by the bed, and the food was delicious. Most importantly, it's pet-friendly, not the kind that says ”friendly” but rolls their eyes. Before we left, the owner said he'd take us to the entrance of the scenic area, but we didn't (and got scammed once along the way). You could have saved 15 yuan on parking fees, but you still have to listen to advice when you're out and about.

The hotel we stayed in this time was quite nice. It was a garden-style hotel that integrated guest rooms, dining and leisure. The hotel is very large and is built along the mountain from south to north, nestled in the natural landscape of Songshan Mountain. Their hotel is in a great location, right at the foot of Mount Song. Standing in the back garden, you can see the winding and undulating Songshan Mountain Range. The lush trees on the mountain are very beautiful, which makes people feel better unconsciously. When we checked in, the front desk staff Chen Peiying and Gao Xue provided warm and thoughtful service. Zhao Zhe took us to the room and introduced it clearly and in detail. The lobby staff Guo Gengan and Zheng Lijun provided very good service, warm and thoughtful. They helped us scan the parking tickets and carried our luggage. The overall stay experience was very good.

Stayed overnight in Dengfeng. The hotel is not far from the bus station. Check-in was quick and takeaways could be delivered upstairs. The room was not too big, but the hygiene was OK. Overall, there was no problem.

The hotel is quite large for Dengfeng, and it receives many tourist groups. It is very lively, with spacious and clean rooms, complete facilities and a large parking lot. However, there was a super strong wind on the second day and all scenic areas were closed. Fortunately, we went to Shaolin Temple yesterday, but we could not go to Zhongyue Temple and Songyang Academy this time.

The room was okay, but the variety in the breakfast room was limited. After eight o'clock, there was basically no food. Dinner closed at nine o'clock, and the omelette chef could only fry six at a time. A piece of instant noodles was cut in half and cooked, and four wontons were given at a time. It was almost too much to eat. The most important thing is that the price of check-in and the price on the day of departure are definitely cheaper on site than on Ctrip. I don't understand.

I was attracted by the environment and style of the hotel lobby as soon as I entered the door. The lady at the front desk checked in and introduced the procedures to you. There is an open tea room, a buffet restaurant, and a Hanfu dress-changing room on the first floor. The room is clean and tidy with good lighting, and the dry and wet separated bathroom. Each room is equipped with charging equipment and Xiaodu smart voice control, which can free your hands and let Xiaodu help you open and close the curtains and TV ports. You can also play music and enjoy the comfort of getting out of bed~ There are tea bags and tea sets in the room, which can relax your mood. There is also a large tea room and free laundry room on the floor, which is really considerate.

All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.
