Hanokkin is ideally located to visit Gyeongju - Located in the city it is also completely calm - While the place is full of charm, what makes it unique is the character of its hosts - They are very warm, full of advice and make the best breakfast of Korea !

I usually enjoy large, anonymous international hotels, but I loved the convenience and character of Hanokinn during my four nights there. The cultured and talented owners, Pila and Edu (I hope I’ve spelled their names correctly), get the balance just right in being welcoming and friendly. It was interesting to learn that they had designed the inn themselves, with help from an architect, including some stylistic features borrowed from Djeongju’s Bulguksa temple. They are both skilful cooks and their breakfasts - cooked freshly in front of you - were some of the best Korean food I’ve eaten in two weeks. If it’s in season, you’ll finish your meal with fruit from their garden. I didn’t even think of lunch. I had one of the smallest rooms, but it was very comfortable and I enjoyed all the permutations of sliding doors and screens. It got me in the mood to enjoy the character of the old town. And you are right in the middle of the old town, just a few blocks from the historic Silla sights. The international hotels are 20 minutes’ drive away in an area with none of the character.

The Hanok is beautiful and in a great location. The best part is the wonderfully friendly owners. Highly recommended! I’d love to return someday. Hasta pronto!!

This is a very nice traditional Korean house(hanok) hotel. I stayed on the second floor so the view was great. The location is convenient for walking around.
The Korean breakfast made by Madame was delicious and she was very kind, including arranging the car. If I go to Gyeongju, I would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed here for the Hanok experience and had a good taste of it. Built with care from owners, very impressed with their dedication to honor the tradition. Breakfast was bibimbap. Bathroom basic with some mosquitos. Overall good base for Gyeongju.

I wish we could give Mr and Mrs Kim and their most lovely Hanok even more stars!!! It’s a truly lovely place with amazing owners who are warm, friendly and will make you leave with lasting memories!! Our absolute best travel experience!! Mr. Kim spends time with every guest making sure Gyeongju is so special for them. He helped us meet The Best Driver -another Mr Kim. He is tops- using translator making sure you see the highlights using his taxi. Mrs Kim is a wonderful chef making delicious traditional breakfasts!! Book early so they have space. Conveniently located but very peaceful!!! Truly we didn’t want to leave…. Thank you Mr/ Mrs Kim And the Best Driver Mr. Kim
