"The hotel has many wonderful facilities such as 2 swimming pools and kiddie pool with many sun beds. A pedestrian walkway leading directly to the beautiful beach. Room are very spacious and I believe they are large than those of same level. The breakfast also much beyond than normal provides variety of food , especially freshly squeezed orange juice. The only drawback is that the shower gel and conditioner are of poor quality"

"I recently stayed at the Marriott in Albufeira, Portugal, and I have to say it was a very disappointing experience. We booked a half-board stay for three people and paid for it, but at check-in, even though it was just my wife and me, the staff insisted that since a third person wasn’t present, we wouldn’t receive our included meals. After a lengthy argument and escalating it to the manager, they finally allowed us to have the meals we paid for. The problems didn’t end there. We were first given a room on the ground floor with no natural light, and it was not cleaned properly—no shower gel, missing toiletries. After we complained, they moved us to the fourth floor, but there was no lift access, so we had to climb several flights. The cleanliness issues continued, and we had to call almost daily for basics like toothpaste, toiletries, and water refills. Even more concerning, housekeeping entered at random times, with no set schedule, leaving us feeling very unsafe. On top of all this, the breakfast service was extremely basic—far below what I would expect from a hotel of the Marriott’s caliber. Overall, this stay was far below my expectations, and I would not recommend it."

"Despite the hotel's high rating reviews, i believe it has not met the expectations due to its cost and what I experienced. First, for an hotel of its type and location, parking should be free for guests and not be paid, they even charge for different types of parking (uncovered or covered) but its the same outside parking location... Then the reception, you have some employees that are happy to welcome you and helpful and others who seem like they're always sad or mad. This shows bad management and probably bad working environment. The reception is also slow... The rooms are big but despite looking modern, you can see that it's lacking maintenance and design choices are bad. First, the toilet paper roll holder just doesn't work and the roll always falls out, then the hair dryer provided was not working. The shower drain is easy to clog and the water does not drain easily so the water overflows. The bath towels provided were dirty and had rests of dried pigeon poop on them... it was disgusting. The bedsheets also had weird black spots on them. The breakfast was good and had good variety but the employees there seem to be sad all the time..."

The room we stayed in could do with modernisation - especially the decor and lighting in the bathroom - and the mattress was uncomfortable The pool area is superb, the breakfast was very good and we will definitely return again - mainly because of the location and the excellent staff!"
