Note that this hotel has a policy of not allowing unrelated guests that are under the age of 21. This is not mentioned either in the confirmation Emails nor in the Marriott Customer Service fact sheet. Check-in will be refused. Guests are left on their own to find alternate accommodations at the last minute.

The Brown Hotel is a visually stunning property, but our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by concerning behavior from management and a general environment that did not feel appropriate for families. From the moment we arrived, the front desk manager, Luis, displayed a dismissive and arrogant attitude. We felt extremely uncomfortable due to inappropriate and unprofessional remarks that made both my wife and child uneasy. While I understand responses to reviews often attempt to reframe experiences, I can only speak to what we personally encountered — and it was deeply unsettling. I reached out to senior management by email following our stay, but received no acknowledgment or follow-up, which only added to our frustration. Additionally, the overall guest atmosphere did not feel conducive to a family-friendly stay. During check-in, it was quite clear that the hotel caters to a different kind of clientele — not ideal for families seeking a safe and respectful environment. We’ve stayed at other nearby hotels that offered far more professionalism and comfort. Sadly, we would not return to The Brown Hotel and do not recommend it for families.

Incredible. Book an extra day longer than you were going to as this place is spectacular. The rooms, furnishings, pool and views are breathtaking! Quaint little Pueblo to go to by TukTuk or climb the mountain or simply relax and watch the sunset while in the individual hot tub pods.

HERE IS YOUR TEXT IN ALL CAPS: MY WIFE AND I HAD A GREAT TIME—THIS HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL, AND THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT. WE TRULY ENJOYED OUR STAY. AS MARRIOTT LIFETIME TITANIUM ELITE MEMBERS, WE DO HAVE A FEW SUGGESTIONS. GIVEN THE ATMOSPHERE AND LEVEL OF SERVICE, WE BELIEVE THIS HOTEL WOULD BE BETTER SUITED AS AN ADULTS-ONLY PROPERTY. DURING OUR VISIT, THERE WERE A LARGE NUMBER OF CHILDREN IN THE POOL AND JACUZZI AREAS, OFTEN RUNNING AND SCREAMING, WHICH IMPACTED THE RELAXING ENVIRONMENT WE EXPECTED. WE USUALLY TRAVEL WITH OTHER COUPLES, AND WHILE WE LOVED MANY ASPECTS OF OUR STAY, WE WOULD HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR A QUIET GETAWAY DUE TO THE FAMILY-ORIENTED DYNAMIC. IN TERMS OF DINING, WE FOUND THE MENU AT PISMO SOMEWHAT LIMITED AND WOULD RECOMMEND A REFRESH TO BETTER ALIGN WITH THE UPSCALE TONE OF THE PROPERTY. ON THE OTHER HAND, WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED PRAIA—IT OFFERED A SOPHISTICATED, ADULT-FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE. THE SERVICE THERE WAS EXCEPTIONAL, ESPECIALLY FROM VIVIAN, WHO WAS ATTENTIVE, FRIENDLY, AND PROFESSIONAL THROUGHOUT OUR VISITS. I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK IF THIS PROPERTY BECOMES AN ADULTS-ONLY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR A MEMORABLE STAY.

Muy Delicioso! I came here for a nice meal while staying at the hotel and really enjoyed the food. The Lomo Saltado was very good and had mucho meat.
