"I am writing this review with mixed feelings. The employees make a friendly impression. They are helpful when you ask a question. Outside of that, there is little room for spontaneous contact. We stayed a few days in a cottage in the surrounding rainforest. In the evening and at night you are alone in the rainforest. A special experience. Although it is a very large park, several hundred hectares, it seems during the night as if the large trucks are thundering past the house. You are guaranteed to wake up from this. Despite the nature that makes itself heard mainly at night. We also completed a zipline course with two guides, of absolute top class. I was finally freed from my fear of heights when I flew a final zipline of 700 meters over the jungle. The food in the restaurant is more like a buffet, dinner from the kitchen. Despite good intentions, we have eaten better elsewhere in Costa Rica. The service is very nice, . What is missing is an energetic management and a financial injection. Oh ... the night tour through the rainforest was of great class!"

"I spent two nights with my wife. It has become one of my favorites places in Costa Rica; I´m a local! We stayed at Villa Kakala, it was magical!!! The location is super private and fantastic river / forest view. The Villa is very nicely designed as well as high end finishes. Very comfortable, quiet, secluded! Just perfect for our honey moon rendezvous! The couples massage, sauna, spa, horse tour to wowww river canyon, food and above all personalized and super friendly personnel made our trip on our best in Costa Rica. Unique place to stay. The staff is beyond incredible, they are accommodating in every sense and go out of their way to truly make sure you have the best experience during your stay. I have to shoutout Sergio, who was excellent at taking care of my friend and I. This lodge is fully immersed in the rainforest, and you will experience all sorts of wildlife, and i must say, all the meals were absolutely delicious. We will return. I highly recommend this stay, you will not regret it."
