Baiyun Lakeside Hotel (Nanhu Tourism Center) Reviews

A wonderful place to relax. It is convenient that the children's and adult pools are connected. On the first floor there is a restaurant where you can have a delicious meal. Very beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Opposite the hotel there is a small water park (you buy a ticket yourself).

Nice location, great for unwinding and enjoying nature. Staff were also helpful and accommodating.

It was a decent stay but the hotel could improve in terms of the old design and a better breakfast.

I chose this hotel because of location despite reading some reviews how the breakfast needs improvements and badly managed by mainland China standard, and now I agree with them. I ended up just taking 1 breakfast out of 3, which was not included in the stay so that I even paid extra, because it was that terrible. Also table was so dirty, another reason why I gave up on eating there. Plus everything was falling apart, like how pavements are broken, closet is broken and many trashes in the hotel complex. I had to talk to staff a lot to make requests such as fixing the safe in the room. Also there was construction work going on, thus noises and there were loud party noises late in the night as well. The location is nice, in the forest although lake is completely disappearing. My room had window blocked by trees which was lovely view and I could have privacy in the room unless I go outside to balcony. The amenities well equipped and there are complementary fruits every day which I had instead of breakfast. Also the housekeeping in the room and the outdoor pool was nice. But right after I checked out the receptionist chased me after and said something was missing inside the room. So they do check very well but why do they not check about trashes, broken pavements and noise concerns. Regarding ‘missing item’, they do label how some stuff are to be paid with the price tag and ‘not gift’ sign and I didn’t take them. So it looked like some misunderstanding and because of language and cultural differences. As international traveler, I had to communicate through smartphone translation and sometimes I could see the translation was getting messed up. Also it looked like I was the only foreigner, most of guests here are locals, as both guests and staff kept on referring me as my nationality amongst themselves. Overall, read the reviews and decide for yourself.

We had our wedding at this hotel and booked one night. The staff were very helpful with setting everything up, and the room was nice and comfortable.

We went to visit a place nearby, the view of the lake is lovely but it’s not close to anything touristy

When booking, we learned that there would be a group, but the hotel did not inform us in advance that the so-called group was a bunch of ****. This is a deliberate fraud! The whole hotel was filled with various pungent perfumes. What's outrageous is that the hotel turned a blind eye to the ** kissing and hugging in the elevator. The room also lost power for no reason. This hotel is terrible.

The environment, cleaning, hygiene and front desk are all good, but the breakfast is not very good. What the hell is it that you have to register for breakfast? The location is a bit remote and it is not easy to get a taxi. In short, except for the restaurant, everything is good.

The stay experience exceeded expectations! The reception by Xiao Li and Xiao Jiang at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the sound insulation was good, and I slept well all night. The bathroom was reasonably designed with dry and wet separation, and the details were perfect! I will choose here next time~

The hotel has a beautiful environment and is located in Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area. The scenery is pleasant and the rooms are clean and tidy. Since I went to Baiyun Mountain for a tour in the morning, the hotel provided a late check-out service, which was a very good stay experience!

5-star review: A family came to Nanhu for vacation. The natural environment is amazing. Sitting by the lake, the spring breeze is blowing on your face. The redwood fir by the lake has just sprouted new buds, and the spring air is full. Friendly service, clean rooms. The infinity pool that children like, there are inflatable dolls for children to play with, and take pictures. Free parking, plenty of parking spaces, not far from the city, convenient transportation, unforgettable experience. During the holidays, it is said that the hotel boss personally greets guests at the front desk, which is very enthusiastic.
