We have spent many years travelling and it would be difficult to find a nicer, more accommodating host than Maurizio! He has lived in the area for a long time so he knows all the best places and he will be happy to recommend them. The estate is set on beautiful grounds with a view of Rome in the distance and the ocean. The grounds are gorgeous and the landscape incredibly beautiful. The pool is large, although the water can be a bit fresh when off season. The town center is a 25 minute walk away and well worth a visit. Next to the pool is a beautiful synthetic grass court and the local tennis pro is more than happy to come and hit with you! The rooms are large, comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in one of the suite. The bedroom was very large and the bathroom had a full bathtub with a very modern shower, it’s own window, double sink etc… If you are missing something, Maurizio will surely have a spare one! The breakfast was perfect – fresh ingredients and omlettes cooked to order. Definitely one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at and we plan to return later this year.

HUGE THANK YOU MAURIZIO! You made us all so welcome, we loved our stay at Tenuta Cusmano, stunning scenery, a slice of traditional Italian charm. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool and tennis court, it was nice to relax after a busy couple of days in central Rome. Also big thanks to the talented lady making delicious breakfasts for us and ensuring our rooms were spotlessly clean. We recommend Taverna Della Spuntino in Grottaferrata for a delicious meal, and Frascati worth a trip for shops and gelato! Hire car recommended. 100% recommend. Ciao from the Taylor’s 🤩 Tiny request, it would be nice if the rooms had tea and coffee making facilities.

Beautiful location for trip into Rome. The house is in dire need of updating as the rooms, furniture and general furnishings are all very old fashioned. Bathrooms are likewise from the 60s or 70s we guess.. However Maurizio is a great host very welcoming and the spectacular views are wonderful.

It was just perfect—hospitality at its best. We went there for both work and vacation and booked a suite. The extra cost was really worth it. The terrace provides fantastic views of the countryside, in particular at sunset. The room and bathroom are very big for Italian standards. The owner is more than helpful. He will provide personalized maps and itineraries depending on what you want to do. Of course, in this area you should come with your car. Parking is safe in the property. There are many places you can easily reach from here, including Castgel Gondolfo, Ariccia (the best porchetta is there, and you can get real carbonara there for less than 10$), Hadrian villa, and villa d'Este. We spent 4 days there, and it was perfect. Breakfast is nice, with fresh omelets/eggs or pancakes/crepes as you want them. You'll have to take your car for dinner, but good places abound around. The swimming pool is closed when the rainy season starts - like in Oct. It isn't easy to run around if you are a runner like me. If you can skip rush hour time (when people go to Rome in the morning, or come back, or drop/pick up their kids to/from school), you are fine. Most of the countryside roads around the hotel are barely for one car and all curves. But you can ask the owner, he used to be a semi-pro runner himself, he can tell you where to go.

I would recommend this little piece of heaven on earth to anyone with a soul. Maurizio made us feel instantly welcome; he just exudes affinity for people of all designs. Our ample room was charmingly decorated with period pieces -- no sterile minimalism here! -- and had a sweet balcony with a sweeping view. Lots of suggestions for touring and dining, and a superb breakfast. Bravo Maurizio. I hope to see you again someday.

We came here first time two years ago and I already knew it back then, that I definitely want to come back here one day! Now, two years later, nothing has changed with the place, the hosting, the pristine wild nature and the surroundings! Wow. The breakfast is still incredible and the host is still the most positive and kind person I’ve ever met in my life. With the host like Maurizio, you feel like visiting your own family. I love everything about the Tenuta 😊

This place is pure magic. The resort itself is stunning, pristine, peaceful and sparkling clean. The rooms are decorated with antiques. They are quite large and comfortable. The grounds and views are gorgeous. Our stay was made even more magical by our host, Maurizio. He was warm, welcoming, helpful and attentive. He is truly a special human. This was the first stop on our trip, and we arrived tired and jet-lagged. We weren't expecting to be able to check in--merely leave our luggage, but Maurizio had everything ready for us. He even went out of his way to purchase special breakfast treats for me since I have gluten and dairy allergies. He provided us with maps and recommendations and itineraries of the surrounding towns. We loved Grottaferrata, Frascati, Nemi and Castel Gandolfo. We also took a day trip to Tivoli--advised by Maurizio--that was so interesting and beautiful. We made so many happy memories in this special area of Lazio. My only piece of criticism is for myself--I wish we had stayed longer. I should probably gate-keep this magical place, but that seems unfair. I would recommend this resort to everybody and anybody and I cannot wait to return and catch up with Maurizio.

We spent 5 nights at the Tenuta Cusamano arriving on October 18, 2023. Maurizio takes excellent care of his guests including planning daily activities and restaurant selections. The grounds of the Tenuta are unbelieveable with gardens, olive trees, and vineyards as far as the eye can see. it is amazing that this rural setting is about 15 miles from central Rome. We ate all of our evening meals in Grottaferata which is about a mile and a half from the Tenuta. Maurizio recommended all of the restaurants and made reservations for us. Grottaferata has a number of excellent restaurants with food which is not available in the U.S., and at prices significantly below comparable U.S. restaurants. As Maurizio said, if you walk into a restaurant full of other tourists, walk out. The restaurants in Grottaferata were filled with the Italian people. We loved the small cities in the Castelli Romani. We enjoyed walking in the nature preserve/Roman ruins of Tuscolum which is open on the weekends and manned by students. In our 5 days in the Castelli Romani, we did not see another American.

A lovely secluded upmarket Agriturismo complete with a nice pool with views and tennis courts. Not far from a number of good restaurants and some quaint villages in Castelli. Rooms are spacious and clean. But to top it all is Maurizio’s hospitality and the guidance he gives. If you are around go and visit the cocktail bar L’Altro recommended by Maurizio

Maurizio is an exceptional host who goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. After all the exceptional reviews, my family felt as though this would be the perfect getaway for anyone looking to stay out of the city. The Tenuta itself has a homey feel and Maurizio and his family go above and beyond to make you feel as though you are at home. He provided recommendations for day tours and things to do as well as printouts with maps, restaurants and places worth seeing in the area. The pool and tennis court are great additions as well as the beautiful flowers around the property. I can definitely see why this is a Wedding destination! With views of Rome, you feel a sense of relaxation but know you are not too far away (45 min) from the city. Maurizio and his staff provide a beautiful breakfast with croissants, eggs, crepes, toast, fruit and yogurt. I can't stress enough how he makes you feel at home. His hospitality is like none I haven't experienced with any of my travels around the world. I only have high praise for the Tenuta and the experience Maurizio provides to each and everyone who stays there.

Highly recommended with a special thanks to Maurizio. My girlfriend and I stayed whilst attending a wedding and Maurizio could not have been more helpful - helping with taxis, ironing, coffee and any other request! The views from the property are amazing and its very peaceful. I only wish we had more time to relax at the property. Maurizio is in the right job - thanks for everything!

We stayed for two nights at Tenuta Cusmano as an end of our trip to Italy and the vacation couldn't finished any better. The location is amazing, we stayed with our family in the big apartment at the top floor including a roof terrace with a stunning view of the beautiful italian landscape. The facilities were really good with an excellent swimming pool in the beautiful garden. And finally, I must mention the host Maurizio, who is so friendly and really cared so much about his guests. He made our stay at Tenuta Cusmano magnificent! We will defenitely return!

Never in my life have I met anyone that kind, helpful and good-hearted as Mr.Cusmano. The house is located in this most beautiful scenery you can imagine. The views are spetacular! Pool is cleaned every evening and it's crystal clear. The breakfast is incredible - it's made right then and there. Coffee is something else! I've never tasted a better one. While the streets of Rome are loud and crowded, Tenuta Cusmano is really calming place to just relax and be present. The birds, grasshoppers and gekos are a sign of fresh air and nature - something rare and beautiful in nowdays industrial and busy cities. Also what I loved was a comfortable and large bed with great pillows - there were both soft and firm options. The room had the AC unit and it was very pleasant, as the weather outside was very hot. Overall I'm very happy that we chose Tenuta Cusmano and I really appreciate everything that Mr.Cusmano did for us - it's hard to find someone so genuine and good-hearted in nowdays world and we really appreciate this!
