Royalton Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Imagine flying across the planet, full of hope, with your cousin and a suitcase full of dreams… only to arrive at a hotel that serves boiled disappointment with a side of indifference. I booked this “adults-only” resort expecting peace, relaxation, and decent service. What I got was a week-long case study in false advertising, flavorless meals, and noise pollution from children who shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Yes, you read that correctly—children at an adults-only resort. Apparently, the hotel enforces the "adults-only" policy with nothing more than a psychic barrier, because the family section is separated by an invisible line and zero logic. Kids at breakfast. Kids in entertainment areas. Kids in shopping areas. Kids haunting my dreams. The food? Consistently underwhelming. Think wedding reception buffet, but sadder and somehow more beige. Service was apathetic at best—requests were met with long pauses, vague nods, and then vanishing acts. Add to that the fact that “evening entertainment” for adults is apparently code for nothing. After 8 PM, the place turns into a retirement home on lockdown. Unless you count the lone sad sports bar, where you can pretend you’re not furious that this was your one vacation this year. The only thing this place got right was the sun—and last time I checked, that wasn’t part of the hotel amenities. I left tanned, annoyed, and armed with a new definition of buyer’s remorse. Would not recommend. Unless you’re dying to overpay for bad food, children you didn’t bring, and the thrilling evening option of going to bed early out of boredom.

The staff is not trained to be hospitable at all. There’s way too much to explain on this review. I stay at Autograph Collections as I would bet Marriott understands this hotel falls extremely below the standards. I have Champaign sent to my room, they will not bring me glasses and want me to walk over to the next building to get ice. All inclusive and I can’t get the scotch I see behind the bar as they told me it’s for bottles only which was crazy. I asked my therapist to apply more pressure for my spa treatment- they wanted to charge me extra for a deep tissue. Employees treat us like we are a nuisance and they are not here to accommodate us. Facility needs a renovation- elevators are disgusting to the point where you don’t want to push the buttons. It was the worst stay I’ve ever experienced out of any island I e ever traveled to. Horrible horrible and just horrible here

We returned once again to our hotel in Santa Lucía, which, as always, made us feel right at home. Special mention goes to the butlers and the incredible service. We loved the food and drinks; they are the best.

Just AMAZING. The experience was so good that if we can, we will repeat it once more time. The food was delicious and diverse,for all taste. Amazing beaches, the swimming pool so cleaned and the rooms too, the stuff so elegant and accommodating and the nights were incredible thanks to the entertainment stuff. The cleanliness is below standard for a luxury resort. It is common to find dirty curtains, furniture, dirty and stained bed skirts in suites as well as dirt along walls and baseboards. I had the same ponytail holder sitting in my shower the entire stay , it was there when i arrived and did not move the entire stay. That says a lot about the cleaning. Hair was found on my end tables. The room smelled musty. Food was left in halls for hours waiting to be picked up. The resort was out of beach towels everyday. The pool and beach furniture filthy. At the top of the list is the poor customer service. The staff is nonchalant and not eager to provide good service. Simple request seem like a bother. The food is subpar. Room service took almost 2 hrs when quoted 35 - 40 minutes.
