Great food and awesome staff..so helpful despite the language barrier. Tagliatelle fantastic. Great florentine steak. 2 lunches in a row and no dissatisfaction or disappointment. Great wine list especially or local wines. Any Chianti reserva from 2017 will be a joy!1

We booked our stay in order to attend the Chianti Classico Wine Expo being held on the piazza in front of this family owned historic hotel. The room was average size but had everything we needed. Up just one flight of stairs. Our private balcony overlooked the quaint tiled roofs of the town. Even though the festival was happening in front our room in back was quiet and peaceful. A wonderful breakfast buffet was served every morning with tables set on the balcony overlooking the piazza. If you stay at this property at least three nights, you get a free horse drawn carriage room in the countryside! It was amazing! Absolutely lovely !!! I would stay here again just for the carriage ride ! The staff could not have been nicer. Great location for visiting much of Tuscany! Free and paid parking nearby. This area had the best prices for linens, leather, ceramics and local artwork. Don’t pass it by thinking you will buy it at next place you stay. I did that and am regretting it.

Unless you can guarantee that you will have a room that does not face the square, avoid this stay. This hotel should not ever book the rooms facing the square. My husband and I were given a twin bed room facing the square. We thought staying in the town square would be charming, but it ended up being a horrible choice because it was noisy all day and night. There is no AC, which is fine, but that meant our windows always had to be open. Our windows overlooked restaurants that had patrons lingering (and talking loudly) well past 11pm. We got to hear all the restaurants clean up with dishes banging after that. On Friday night of our stay, there was a DJ until midnight in the town square. It was LOUD in our room. On Saturday morning starting at 5:30am, we were greeted by people starting to set up for a festival in the square. Don’t forget the bell that tolls every hour until midnight. There was no peace and quiet to be had. Sleep was terrible. I will say the staff was apologetic and kind and I wished we had been given a better room so I did not have to write this. This experience was a very low point in our honeymoon and I was sad, stressed and disappointed by it. The best part of this hotel was the relief we felt when our two nights was over.

What a fabulous stay this hotel is rustic Italian just perfect the rooms are lovely with fabulous views and the restaurant food was amazing as was the staff and wonderful owners who couldn't do enough for you nothing was too much trouble just wonderful will definitely be returning

We loved Greve. The hotel was very nice with a great restaurant. This is definitely a place we would love to go back to and explore the area more.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui tra il 30 aprile e il 2 maggio; definire il soggiorno “fantastico” è quasi riduttivo, perché tutto, dall’accoglienza della signora Rossella e della sua famiglia al resto, è stato la perfezione: il palazzo storico che ospita la struttura, con la bellissima terrazza che si affaccia sulla piazza principale, è già un fantastico biglietto da visita; la pulizia è impeccabile ovunque; la nostra camera quadrupla, nella parte alta del palazzo, era grande e luminosa …. Pranzi e cene sublimi, con specialità prelibatissime, dalle tagliatelle con il ragù bianco di chianina a quelle con il cinghiale, alle carni alla brace con contorni, ai fantastici dessert... Per non parlare della ricchissima colazione: dai prelibati e vari dolci, brioches e marmellate fatti in casa, al prosciutto, al formaggio nostrali e al pane fresco di ogni qualità, una varietà incredibile di squisitezze genuine! Ottimo anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo! Un grazie di cuore alla Signora Rossella e alla sua famiglia che con la loro premura, la gentilezza e la loro grande professionalità hanno reso la nostra vacanza indimenticabile, con la promessa che torneremo prestissimo!
