Absolutely loved the hanging swing chairs in the lounge. Also loved the fireplace, so cozy. The Nespresso coffee was luxurious. Everything we could want was provided.

We were fortunate enough to score the bunk bed room during our recent stay in Calabogie. Not only did our kids love having their own unique space, but it also gave us the ability to spread out and enjoy our time together even more. With two sets of spacious and comfy bunk beds, plus a king bed, everyone had their own place to sleep. The room itself included a small area for food prep and a cozy sitting area, allowing our family to share lots of laughs over card games. It was also stocked with several board games and beverages for us to enjoy throughout our stay. Little touches—like personalized welcome postcards, helpful texts with check-in information, and thoughtful offers of support—made the trip feel easier (especially for me as a Mom). The sauna was promptly prepared when requested, and the cold plunge offered the perfect opportunity to step away from the busyness of family life and enjoy a little quiet “me” time. We also enjoyed a campfire with s’mores and drinks from the Bottle Shop. The evening atmosphere made it easy to unwind as a family, without the pressure of “sitting still” with young children in a public setting like a restaurant. We played yard games, relaxed in the hammocks, played cards, and shared pizza—all outside. Just a short walk down the road (practically across the street), our kids loved the small beach and playground. We also really enjoyed the food at Calabogie Brewery and On The Rocks. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with food recommendations. If you plan to sort out meals on your own, just be aware that many places in Calabogie close early—so it’s best to plan ahead. Also, if your family loves cars and racing, Calabogie Motorsports Park is only 10 minutes away and offers races most weekends. We were lucky enough to catch the Canada NASCAR circuit. Most loved takeaway from the weekend: The thoughtful setup of the hotel and the supportive staff made it easy to reconnect as a family and enjoy each other’s company. I would highly recommend this location to any family looking to unplug from tech and enjoy more opportunities for genuine connection.

We very much enjoyed our 3 nights at Somewhere Inn. Hosts are very friendly and make themselves available in person & by text message. The Scandinavian decor is very spa-like & romantic. The grounds are lovely, and the sauna & cold plunge add to the relaxing vibe. Snacks and fun drinks are always available for purchase (in room and in the lobby). The little public beach across the street was clean & refreshing. We will definitely be back! Thank you !

Had a little higher expectations based on previous reviews/photos. Thermal cycle different in person (different cold plunge). Games in the yard weren't in great condition either (cornhole) . Pricey compared to other alternatives for the experience. Also celebrating a milestone birthday there, which mentioned prior to arriving to have an acknowledgment, also was not done. Not a terrible spot, felt there could have been a little more value there. Coming from far, wouldn't return to that location, possibly check out the one in Collingwood. Some good hikes around the area.

Très belle endroit calme. Grande chambre.

Had a really great time here. Quiet location next to a beautiful lake. No TV in the room meant I could focus on unplugging and taking it easy. Great hikes and some good food in the area, too. The staff I encountered were really wonderful. Would happily return.
