My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and immediately was greeted by Paul, he was so warm and welcoming!! We stayed 5 days and every person that worked at the resort that we interacted with so genuinely sweet as well as Ceyon— it truly made our experience even better! Paul greeted us almost every time we were by the pool & he always had a smiled and was checking up on us. I got 2 massages while we were there and Shelly & Kay Kay were WONDERFUL! They were so kind but also such good masseuse! I couldn’t recommend this place more! I would advise to bring bug spray while you stay because we got eaten up by the little gnats. Food at 23° North was delicious but Palapa could definitely have better quality and more options. Other than that, we loved all the staff & highly highly recommend!

The 2 bedroom villa we stayed in was a dream. 3 porches all with water views, a large kitchen and the comfiest beds. The resort was beautiful.and the infinity pool was a bonus.. the resort is situated in Emerald Bay Beach which is stunning! The service was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly! We would definitely stay again!

On our first trip to Exuma we booked a one BR villa #6103- here for six nights and were generally pleased. The most disappointing part was the almost daily power outages with one lasting over 10 hours!? This becomes a very irritating experience. And yes it is the utility but all businesses and residents need to demand a modern solution. The Emerald bay beach is very nice and very walkable. The two pools are also very nice. We enjoyed breakfast at Palapa too. The resort seems very secure with two guard posts to enter. Housekeeping did a good job. We did ask for robes and a lounger on the deck but were told these could not be supplied. Odd for a luxury resort. Fortunately the two best spots for dinners were nearby— 23 North and Salt. Otherwise we struggled to find acceptable dining.

The resort is beautiful and on a gorgeous bay. Our villa was very nicely decorated and clean, and the cleaning staff did a nice job of keeping us stocked with everything provided. We had several issues with things in the villa and would have preferred a more private villa in the same building (14). Both of our patios looked onto the pool area and I can only imagine in high season, would be very loud and non-private. We had an issue with our hot water that continued for 3 days. Each day we would report it and supposedly someone came to "fix" it, but it wasn't until the 4th day of our 5-day stay that we had hot water. This should have been a 'one and done' fix. Another issue we had was an alarm going off each and every night, which we had to contact the front desk to have fixed every night. The alarm was taken care of in a quick manner, but having to contact the front desk every single night for this issue was intrusive on our vacation time. The last day, the dishwasher leaked water all over the floor, which we slipped on. How did the cleaning staff not know about this problem after the previous guest? The on-site restaurant was a disappointment. Not only was it very expensive, but the selection was small and we grew tired of eating there. We ended up getting groceries on our own and making some meals, as well as going to restaurants off property. 23 Degrees restaurant was even higher priced, so we avoided that option. If the service matched the other restaurant, we would have been very disappointed. Now for our thoughts about the staff....every single male staff member was very kind, welcoming and quick to fix an issue we were having. We would like to give special praise to Cevon at the front desk and the gentleman that fixed our alarm each night. They are the kind of employees others should model after. They were friendly, kind and appeared to take an interest in us and do their best for us. We were very positive and kind to all the staff, but that just was not reciprocated. Unfortunately, our encounters with most of the female staff were as though we were bothering them. We never saw a smile from any of the women who worked in the restaurant, and we genuinely felt like they didn't want to be there. On our final day, there was no bar service out on the beach, which was okay as the previous days the waitress acted like getting us drinks was a bother. We walked up to Sandy toes to get our own drinks and food, and one male employee wearing a Bass Pro Shops red hat was very unprofessional in front of guests. We understand that we were visiting in the low-season and maybe the employees feel like being at work was a waste of time, however every guest should be made to feel welcome, especially for the price paid for the services you advertise to provide. And one last comment, regarding the state of the beach....Emerald Bay is very beautiful and the water was very warm and calm. The seaweed issue is major. We have never been to an

We had a fantastic stay at Grand Isle - beautiful property, attentive and friendly staff and great dining. The unit was equipped with all that we needed. Loved spending time at Palapa and dinner at 23 North was fantastic.

Just a horrible experience. We stayed in 2018 and couldn't wait to get back. This time was TOTALLY different. We had to change rooms when we got there because nothing worked. If it were up to us, we would have changed again but they said nothing was available which I find hard to believe because the place didn't look crowded. They offered us a 3 bedroom but it would be over $2,000 more. If you get there before check in time, you can go off and do what you want but your bags are left out in the open at the reception desk. They are not even put in a room. 1st room - TV and washer didn't work. The washer was most important because my husband didn't bring a lot of clothes because we were able to use the washer when we stayed previously. It was dark and dingy. Nothing like the pictures they have on their website. Don't be deceived by them. Our "ocean view" was of a construction site. (I also really wished they had like 2 complimentary bottles of water when you got into the room. After a long day, you just want to get to the room and sit for a minute and have a water.) 2nd room - Screen door was broken in second room. The came to "fix" it twice and they said it worked but it was actually broken and I would have to use to both hands to pull it open. Once we DID get it open, we just kept it open. Phone and tv didn't work in the second room as well. The phone not working was horrible because I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. That's a international call so who knows what our phone bill will be when we get it. Leaks in the bathroom. The tub, which we never used, started leaking the second to last day. We couldn't even find where it was leaking from. The shower leaked unless we faced the shower head to the wall. Our room was once again supposed to be "ocean view" but we had the same construction site view. When I went to the front desk, I told them that our view was a construction site and they said all the single bedroom rooms were on that side of the resort and had that view.) One day we came in and I wanted to take a shower but there was no water. Not the sink, shower or tub. Then all of a sudden, the water came spurting out and it was brown. We went to the front desk and they said they had to emergency shut down the water. Now that it was turned on, we had to wait for the air to come out of the pipes and let the water run until it stopped coming out brown. The dryer worked but not well. We would often have to put clothes in at least twice to be fully dry. The floors needed a good wash. Thankfully, I brought slippers and my husband just used a pair of his shoes. They would run out of sternos at the Palaypa and it would be impossible to eat because of the flies so we would end up bringing the food to our room. The beach was often dirty with bottle caps and other junk. We ended up staying up at the pool. No one ever came to ask for drinks until some million dollar yachts pulled into the marina. Then when the pool area filled, t

Our trip to Exuma was unforgettable, and Grand Isle Resort was a huge part of why. From the moment we arrived, every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, crystal-clear water, beautiful villas, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. What made our stay truly exceptional, though, were the people. Kaleisha at the front desk was an absolute gem. When our scheduled boat tour was canceled at the last minute, she didn’t hesitate for a second, she jumped into action and found us an alternate option that ended up being even better than we could have imagined. Her kindness, resourcefulness, and warm personality turned what could have been a disappointment into one of the highlights of our trip. At the bar, Carlton was another standout. He makes the most delicious piña coladas we’ve ever tasted (seriously, they deserve an award!) and is such a great conversationalist. His friendly energy and attention to detail made every visit to the bar feel special. And Princess, our waitress at 23° North, was simply superb. Her service was impeccable, she anticipated everything we needed, all with a smile that made us feel right at home. Every staff member we encountered at Grand Isle embodied true hospitality. You can tell they take pride in making guests feel cared for and welcome. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already planning our next visit. Grand Isle isn’t just a resort, it’s an experience, and the people make it unforgettable.

We had an amazing time at Grand Isle. The staff were professional and friendly. The atmosphere was laid back and was not overcrowded by any means. You could sit on the beach in peace and made it a very personal experience. The grounds and villas were immaculate. We will be back again next year.
