Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

The checking in and checking out process was smooth! We loved everything from the room to the waterpark. The housekeeping staff was on top of everything and made sure our room was spotless each day. Room service arrived early every time less than 20 minutes. The resort was spotless and valet is quick and easy.

Nice place to take the family. Lots to do here. Many nearby locations via shuttle bus. Highly recommend.

I immediately notified the front desk and a woman surprisingly asked "if the ants are big or small????" I told her they are small... "oh those are sugar ants... we have a big problem with them." Unacceptable. I will never stay at this property again.

I went with my husband to a convention at the Gaylord. Two weeks before we arrived we were informed that they could not honor the first two days and they would put us at the Airport Marriott for those two days. A shuttle would take us back and forth. Bad. The Gaylord is a terrible hotel.The lobby and grounds are pretty, but the rooms are expensive and very old looking. The bed was great as was the air conditioning. It is a huge hotel, but has very few restaurants that are open. The pool is very small and the pool bar only has pre mixed type cocktails. There is a “resort pool area” that you can shuttle to, but it was only open on weekends. I got locked out of my room and it was almost impossible to get another key. Customer service is the worst. I was so happy to leave and would never stay there again.

Check in was quick and friendly, our room was clean and spacious. The water park is super fun with slides, a kids area, zip line and lazy river. You can’t take in outside food but they have a nice restraint, ice cream and Kona ice. The shuttle is nice to take from the waterpark to and from the hotel at no charge. There is a small arcade at the hotel as well as an outdoor pool but no slides. Starbucks and a few cute stores with gifts, toys, plenty of snack options and the Sundry sells some medicine. Parking is $30 a day, on Saturday’s they have some fun and games at the water park next to the kids play area. Staff were friendly, the girls loved Cynthia who gives out free popsicles next to reception as well as a scavenger hunt paper. There is also a small build a bear on site, look for the cute train set up in the atrium, Great stay and sleep
