Quaint manor, staff very helpful. We were suffering terrible with jet lag and staff were able to get our room ready a bit earlier , so grateful. Dinner was next door and highly recommended. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Maybe a few too many spider webs and daddy long legs ( spiders) around. Attention to detail needs addressing , to ensure adequate number of towels for guests in the room. Silver plate on the table with only one drinking glass? Not sure what that was about as no bottles water supplied. Maybe the tiles in the bathroom need a good scrub to get rid of the soap scum. But in saying that the room was perfect. Breakfast was great , staff were great and efficient service. I even tried haggis and black pudding for the very first time and enjoyed it :) I highly recommend staying here and we would definitely stay here again.

Was attending and staying over for an event and while the event staff / bar staff / reception staff were absolutely lovely the room itself was a bit of a let down. The positives, the bed was comfortable, and clean and the room was very large which was nice. I particularly enjoyed the ice bucket provided and the bath was a great size. However, the bed while comfortable was two single beds pushed together with a topper meaning there was a divot in the middle of the bed which I kept rolling into it. On top of that, the cleanliness of the room was a bit below where I would expect it to be with a stained towel, and mould in the bathroom The shower never seemed to get warm. But water was hot in the bath and the electric radiators were a bit dated. All in all, it as alright, I appreciate some of these issues could have been solved by speaking to reception (new towels for example and possibly the hot water) but my the time I noticed it I was already in the shower and not really in a state of dress to go down/ have someone come up and I was needing to be at the event rather than chasing this up.

We booked this as a weekend get away..the best thing about the hotel is the staff, they carry it. It needs investment and renaming the Kelpie Hotel. Breakfast was well run but bacon barely cooked and juices on offer not labeled and out a carton. This is an ok 3* hotel with 5* staff bringing it up. Our room was forgettable hence the late mention..needs a rehall.

On arriving we met really friendly, warm staff. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was good and tasted fresh. Breakfast was fantastic and had everything we needed and more. The cooked breakfast was high quality, again staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.

Huge let down. Bought Dinner /bed/breakfast deal. Room called an executive king, good. Clean well furnished and spacious. Sadly that what where it ended. Diner provided by Cooks a building in the car park. It was abysmal. A huge menu should have been a warning. Bland food in a plastic environment. Not even sticky toffe could redeem this meal. Hoping for better at breakfast. Sadly I hoped in vain. A pleasant room with a nice buffet for cereal fruit etc However the cooked breakfast. . . 2 burnt rock hard slices of black pudding and a rock hard 1/2 cooked tomatoe . Scrambling egg hot and tasty
