What a fantastic stay! The moment we walked in Ruth was available, smiling, and friendly! She was efficient and made us feel welcome! The rooms were comfortable and clean! The shower is one of the best showers at any hotel we’ve stayed at! Water pressure and hot water was good! They have bagged ice in coolers available instead of an ice machine! Very thoughtful! The breakfast attendant was efficient and friendly! I wish all hotels had this standard. Only regret, not stay a couple more nights!

My stays at the Best Western Plus in Grand Rapids, MN weren’t just “good hotel experiences”—they became something we looked forward to, time and time again. And the biggest reason? Heather, the front desk receptionist with a heart of pure gold. From the very first time we walked through the doors, Heather made us feel like family. She radiates warmth, patience, and genuine kindness. It didn’t matter if we were checking in late, or forgetting to make our reservation ahead of time, asking about local recommendations, or just grabbing a coffee in the lobby—she was always there with a smile and a kind word and a cookie. She truly sets the tone for the entire hotel. Yes, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes, the amenities are what you’d expect from a quality hotel. But what makes this place special is the people. Management clearly cares, and the atmosphere is one of professionalism, hospitality, and heart. We traveled to Grand Rapids frequently over the course of a year, and we never once considered staying anywhere else. The Best Western became our home away from home—and Heather became the face we were always happy to see. Honestly, I’ve thought more than once about sending her a Christmas card. She’s that wonderful. If you’re heading to Grand Rapids and want more than just a place to sleep—if you want to feel welcomed and cared for—stay here. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Heather at the front desk, tell her someone still remembers just how amazing she made their whole year.

Very clean and comfortable hotel and rooms. Convenient and walkable to most things you may need. Breakfast was very good with many options.
