"1. I arrived at hotel 3:30pm check in is 3pm i was told room wasn’t ready. i waited 2hrs until 5:30, when I was checked in and given room key card for # 307. I go to room 307 slide card go in only to find a lady in the room! Needless to say it scared her and embarrassed me. I go back to desk shared what had happened. I was told to wait wit any apology. I waited until 6:45 until I got a room. 2. 8/4 /23 the last night of my stay i was awakened at 10:45pm which loud banging on my room door. I heard someone saying come to the door. At the door i was told ny the manager that he needed my card to take down and run because I didn’t check in when i arrived on 8/2/23. To which I replied no way I did check in but I’ll be at the front desk in 10 mins. 3. Once at the desk I tell the manager i have already had my card ran, he insist it hasn’t been. I tell him i don’t want to be charged twice, he assures me i want be so i let him run it again (mistake)! 4. I get home the night of 8/5 i check my bank website for the hotel charge. I had three charges 1 correctly matched my check out receipt the other two were fraudulent totaling $741.19. 5. I have stayed at this property the 2 previous years while attended a annual event in the area with no issues at all. Upon arrival this year I found that management has changed since 8/22 and not for the better! 6. I will certainly will not stay here or any other “Choice “ hotel property again. I called both the hotel they are clueless only thing i got was that it seems i paid for both rooms. I called Choice HQ they were no help. I am working with my bank to resolve the issue, do your self a favor and avoid this Hotel in Robbinsville at all cost!!"

"From the moment we checked in, we were met with happy and helpful staff. We stayed in the Laurel room and it was beautiful and comfortable. One window faces the river! The room was complete with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hair dryer and Keurig with tea and coffee options. There are hiking trails all over the property. The Overlook was the most challenging because it’s steep. The Laurel Lounge and the Tapoco Tavern offer great drinks and food. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available. Well worth planning a couples retreat as well as a family vacation! It’s very close to the Tail of the Dragon."

"We were unable to make this trip due to the hurricane. Host said no refund. they are open for business. Trip advisor said Travel Notice: It is currently recommended to avoid all non-essential travel to this area. Support relief efforts here."
