We booked the 2 hour tour which was very instructional about the winery and different types of Douro valley wines. Group was only 12 of us , perfect size. Arrive early as parking is very limited. After the tour we had a huge lunch at the restaurant outside overlooking the river. 2 appetizers, 4 types of wines, large steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Desert was amazing with a warm but brownie and fruit. We were stuffed. Above way to spend time in the area.

This Quinta was gorgeous, the grounds are incredible. The staff SOO friendly, gorgeous accommodations, pool, restaurant, tour and walking distance to Pinhão town. Highly recommended staying here if you want a great Douro valley wine experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta de la Rosa and were looked after by all the staff who were always incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was very peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views. Comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms all resulting in excellent value for money. We enjoyed a very interesting wine tour and tasted a number of La Rosa wines and port. Our stay was most enjoyable from beginning to end and we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night and would have definitely rated the property higher except for there were ants in our room. Numerous ants in the bathroom and many throughout the rest of the room. So many ants that I had to wear shoes in the bathroom as soon as I got out of the shower. I brought this to the attention of the property when we checked out and was very disappointed with their response. First she asked if we had brought food into our room, which we had not and the ants were concentrated in the bathroom. Then she said well the property is in nature, so that happens. Our friends whose room was directly next to ours did not have ants. Makes me wonder if they have ants in the restaurant kitchen. This is a beautiful property but the fact that they did not even apologize or do anything to compensate was unacceptable.

Outstanding return visit after six years. The facilities and staff were exceptional. It is a convenient walk into town; a little uphill on the way back. Breakfast was very nice; makes sure you ask for eggs. Also had a wine/port tour and tasting. Very informative and products are very good. But the best element is view. Truely breathtaking.

My wife and I had a very nice time at Quinta da Rosa. Our tour guide Patricia was charming and made the experience informative and engaging. She shared interesting history of the quinta and their winemaking traditions. The wine tasting was obviously the highlight - all backed by the setting along the Douro River. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the region.
