This was a terrible experience. We’ve stayed at multiple versions of this hotel in other locations and had some very good experiences. This one, not so much. People using hotel amenities (pool and breakfast) coming straight from the parking lot. Bricks holding the door open to the pool so literally anyone can come in. Damaged floors being held together by clear packing tape. Front desk people o. The phone not paying attention to anything. Lot better places to stay in the area

Everthing seemed ok until I got home and asked for my receipt and noticed a 250 charge for smoking in the room. I called and spoke to someone named holly who was very condescending about she found ashes and cigerette butts in the trashcan and the room smelled like smoke. I explained that I had a ground floor room for the purpose of going outside to smoke. The wind was blowing and it was cold so I set in my pickup and smoked with the windows up and put my ashes in bottles and carried them in the room and put them in the trash, instead of throwing them down in the parking lot. She was very adamant that she would not refund the 250 based on the evidence she had. This is a total crock of s---! I never once smoked in that room. My collegues stayed there because I did from Sunday night thru Thursday for a total of 5 rooms. We are all planning to be there again for a week each month for the next six months and we will never stay in this motel or a Home 2 again. I usually stay in homewood, which is a lot more high class as far as the rooms and the employees go. Home 2 is just a cheap knockoff and it shows.
