Diamma Resort Conference & Spa

This hotel is a scam, they scammed us by doing false advertising. We booked this hotel for a couple of weeks and we asked for a super deluxe, when we arrived they gave us a little house as they call it a “villa” which was like a prison. Then they said that we did a “mistake” saying that we only got 4 people and not 5 which costed as a couple of thousand euros so that we can stay. They gossiped before we payed about us not paying which caused the people to be very against us thinking that we will steal and get away with it. We payed and they stopped, and one of the receptionist told us what they were saying. The food, omg it is a compliment to even call the food they serve terrible. The food was horrific, ants on the food, all the food was mostly 1 week old! If you want to eat watermelons for breakfast, lunch AND dinner, COME TO THIS HOTEL but if you want to eat edible and good food, don’t even bother looking through the comments because majority of the section is negative. Be very careful when you book this accommodation. We booked through loveholidays though other residents booked through other agents. My friends and I feel this is worst case of the misrepresentation of holiday accommodation we have experienced. The images on loveholidays of the accommodation at the Diamma Resort appear to be of the hotel, this led us to believe we would be staying in a 5 Star HOTEL and NOT a VERY BASIC ROOM in 3 story block. These rooms are called VILLAS, but they are JUST VERY VERY BASIC ROOMS. We have spoken to a least 10 other guest from different parts of Europe, They have all had the same experience as us. We feel that we have been EXTREMELY MISLED. It’s has ruined our Albanian holiday experience, these rooms were not what we were expecting.

Without doubt the worst hotel we have ever been to. I dont know where all the positive reviews came from they have got to be fake. we are here right now and if we could get a plane home today we would jump at it. The first room we got stunk like rotten eggs I complained 4 times until they eventually moved us. the next room was much better but the tv and fridge didnt work but fair enough they changed them immediately. The food well that is another story and I can only describe it as APPALLLING you wouldnt feed this stuff to a goat. I wish I could post photos just to show how utterly disgusting it is. Thankfully we are only staying on a bed and breakfast basis but this also has its own drawbacks. Unless you stay ‘all inclusive’ you cannot use the hotel bar. When I questioned this they said ‘you can use the bars on the beach’ which is about 350 metres away. trouble is that the beach bars have no toilet facilities. I have never in my life stayed at a hotel where you cant access the bar. So unless you want to sit in the sun by the pool without having a drink, you need to go to the beach and keep your legs crossed. The hotel also boasts of an indoor pool, only problem here is, THERES NO WATER IN IT. We booked with Love Holidays and havent seen their rep since we arrived. When I asked about them at reception they had never heard of them. This hotel proclaims to be 5 star which is totally laughable. Even if you were looking for 4 star, honestly, this is not it. Being VERY generous I would grudgingly give it 3 stars and thats only because the staff are very good, no complaints there. Be warned! there are lots of good hotels on the same stretch of beach, this one is rubbish.

The hotel is excellent and very clean. However, the staff is quite reserved—they rarely initiate greetings, not even a simple ‘good morning,’ despite seeing each other for several days. The waiters were often too quick to clear plates, even before I finished eating, instead of waiting for guests to move them aside or ask for removal. On the positive side, the cleaning staff was professional and lovely—especially Flora and Artija, who were outstanding and very kind. The hotel could definitely benefit from more employees like them! The food was frequently served cold, which was disappointing since the chef clearly puts effort into the meals. Another downside was the loud music from neighboring hotels—it could be very disruptive for those who prefer quiet nights, especially on weekends when it played until 1-2 AM. A few other notes: The beach could be cleaned more often, as cigarette butts were visibly littered around. By the pool, the same playlist looped daily, with songs repeated 3+ times. You can ask the pool attendant to change it, but it’s a shame there’s no variety. Evening entertainment lacked diversity—just one band with a singer performing twice a week. It would be nice to have more variety, like regional dance shows or different artists. On a brighter note, the kids' activities were fantastic! They were run by two friendly and highly engaged Polish girls who did a wonderful job.

Diamma Resort was a wonderful experience! The location is peaceful, the beach is clean, and the staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the food was delicious with a good variety. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday!
