Expensive for what you get. Bed was not comfortable, the room was very dated. We were on the first floor and heard the people above us walking around, and of course heard the car doors closing. The front desk person was nice and they had cookies as you checked in. The breakfast looked good, but we decided to eat at chick fil a.

The room is clean, breakfast good, service friendly and helpful, but mattress is brick hard. Was impossible to sleep. Spent the night sleepless, sitting in chair. Had to leave after one day of a planned 2 day stay. Had stayed at another Hampton Inn a week ago with same problem, so will avoid chain from now on. Very disappointed.

Stayed here a few times over the years and it’s maintain the same level of service so that’s refreshing. Rooms were fresh clean and the bed was great. Breakfast start early and it was pretty varied and good. I found it was a bit hard to find the driveway opening because the sign out front wasn’t lit.

Room was clean, breakfast good, staff was very pleasant. We had a mishap with keys dropped down the elevator shaft, on Sunday morning of a holiday weekend, and when we returned to the hotel maintanence had retrieved them.

Clean but out-dated. Toilet broken. No other rooms available and no available maintenance to help. Jorge the front desk attendant was wonderful and accommodating. He even tried to fix our toilet- but to no avail. Had to put our hands in dirty tank water each time we flushed. Yuck. We did get a discounted rate, but even at $111 I’m not sure it was worth it. Jorge was the best part of the hotel. He deserves a raise and some paid time off.

The hotel is an extremely quiet place to stay located off busy route 17. There were black out curtains and an extremely comfortable bed. It was really hot and humid, so we were glad to find the AC powerful and QUIET. The breakfast was just OK - filling, but nothing special. The historical section of Gloucester was a five minute drive. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are lots of different types of places to eat on Route 17.

We stayed for a 3 day family mini-vacation. As usual, the room, customer service, amenities (great breakfast!) staff, and management, were the best in the area….hands down! Thanks again Hampton Inn Gloucester for a great stay….we’ll be back!!!!!!

The facility was clean and well maintained. Location is convenient to Route 17 and Williamsburg and Yorktown attractions. We had an issue and staff handled it professionally. The manager even followed up with our concern. Breakfast was fantastic and well stocked.

We stayed here in order to tour/review both Gloucester and Matthews Virginia. This is an excellent location. Our room was immaculate, close to the ice machine, HVAC system worked perfect and all personnel were very courteous and accommodating. This has to be the nicest Hampton Inn that I have stayed at. I am a Hilton Diamond member and this property should be acknowledged
