I had a fabulous stay at this sustainable hotel that incorporates nature into every aspect of the property. I loved using the sauna & pool, the mini market, restaurants & lounging areas in the main building. I enjoyed having coffee on my balcony that overlooked the golf course. My one small complaint was there was some road noise & I hope they put up sound barriers at some point (I could only hear it outside from my balcony which was one of the far buildings, so I'm sure others may not experience this).

Salishan has beautiful grounds, a lovely spa, what appears to be a nice golf course (I'm not a golfer) but the rooms are in dire need of renovation. The bathrooms are old with old fixtures, unsure hot water, and dirty caulking in the toilet area. The decor is bleh and the fire place has a pilot that keeps the room lit throughout the night - you will have to have an engineer turn it off. Please Salishan, expend some capital to take this place up a notch, otherwise I will seek smaller properties for my vacation to the Oregon Coast.

Disappointed!! We booked Salishan Coastal Lodge after reading the glowing reviews online. Upon arrival, the grounds and lobby were beautiful! Check-in was easy but the representative was not helpful when we inquired about the surrounding area. She focused on Salishan's restaurants and offerings only. Our room was dated and not exceptionally clean. The walls and woodwork had many marks on them, indicating a need for updating or refinishing. The bed was extremely soft and the fireplace did not work correctly and the pilot flickered all night long disturbing sleep. We had a view of the driving range which did not appeal to us. The covered parking spot was nice. We ate dinner at the Marketplace restaurant and our food was less than average. We did receive credit upon check out for our dinner when we provided customer feedback to the representative at the front desk. After dinner we explored the shops across the street but they were all closed, even the brewery was closed at 8 PM! We had expected a much different experience.

Review is for the Salishan Golf course. It was the 60th anniversary with special pricing and course was packed. Staff was swamped with golfers and still provided pleasant, happy, supportive assistance. Thank you Salishan for the special day.

I like to golf . I always thought that Salishan Was too expensive for my income level so I always drove by and went somewhere else. So I took a chance and decided to play . It was affordable and an excellent course. Staff was awesome, explaining everything for a first timer Thank you .

The course was in great shape. The weather could not have been better ( rare sunny, windles day) Staff was very helpful. Pro shop was well stocked and we took advantage of the sale rack! Snack bar was great as well!

First time staying here. The location is amazing. Had a view of the Bay. Basketball court for the boys to play. Pool was open 24/7 so that was fun. Lawn games for the kids. Bikes to use. Fun grounds to walk around on.
