Took a chance on this one and was well pleased with our choice. The host was most amenable and prepared a fabulous breakfast, the local is super and the place itself pails world kiwi charm .

My husband and I spent a great overnight stay at Lupton the meal we had on the night we arrived was superb, cooked by Andy the owner. The drinks menu was very good and well-priced with many choices. We were given a very warm welcome nothing was too much trouble. Michelle, the other staff member was delightful, the property is extensive and off the road. Breakfast was fantastic such an array, cereal, fruit, toast, muffins, yogurt and a cooked selection your choice. Lupton Lodge is well worth the money. Pam and Brian from Auckland

Lupton Lodge is located a few k's out of town but the extra drive is worth it for the character; quiet, welcome and space. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade and I'm sure we would have been perfectly happy with our originally booked room. We appreciated the thoughtful placement of a multi plug which allowed us to charge what we needed . There was tons of room in the bathroom for all our "stuff" and breakfast was plentiful with both cooked and cold options. Happily recommended.

Generally as a sales rep you’re in there for minimal time but it’s time away from home and all that home offers. Andy and the lodge make that experience that much greater with a caring and professional attitude towards looking after their guests. Guttered I missed the breakfast but I’ll be back and better plan to enjoy the feast you’d no doubt put on team. Thank you for a great nights stay away from home.

We had a very relaxing stay at Lupton Lodge. It is more a kind of B&B with a lot of charm, a nice atmosphere and quiet. The rooms are fairly large and clean. The reception was nice and we enjoyed our breakfast. You can access a living-room to play pool while listening to good music. Bottom line, we loved it, and this the place to go for a relaxing stay.

The breakfast was delicious, great advice from Andy on hikes, activities. Played pool in main building. Had the whole barn to ourselves, very spacious and comfortable
